文庫本にして五冊。
すべて購入して、読み終わりました。
一時中断しながらでしたが・・・

一番印象に残ったのは、テレビのワイドショウと犯人とのやり取り。

マスメディアへの批判的なところがありますが、自分も同じ意見だと思いました。

犯人からの視点もあり結構楽しめました。

第一巻はミステリーとして非常におもしろい。魅力的な登場人物、綿密に練られた展開が続き、話に引き込まれながら読むことができる。しかし、巻が進むにつれて展開が乏しくなり、ストーリーの強引ともいえる押し付けが増えてくるにつれて、読むことに冷めてくる。また、全巻を通してストーリー及び登場人物にまとまりがなく、話が無駄に長い。

読んで損はない作品なのではあるが、「現代ミステリーの金字塔」や、「宮部みゆきの代表作」といったコピーに反論する意味もこめて星３つ。

一部はかなり面白かったし、全体に犯罪被害者遺族の心情や冤罪の恐ろしさ、悲しさは伝わってきますが、一人一人の登場人物にまで細かいストーリーがありすぎて中弛みしてしまいました。しかも、犯人判明はあまりにもあっけない。「あれだけひっぱったのに、これないでしょう」と思わずがっかりしてしまいました。文庫にして五冊は多すぎだと思いました。三冊くらいでまとめてあれば、星5つでした。
