辻仁成が昔（？）ミュージシャンだったというのを裏付けるようなお話です。題名からして音って感じがするし。爆音のロックを愛しながらも騒音測定をする主人公は、つかみ所のない恋人フミの家の留守番電話を無断で聞いているし、テレクラ嬢マリコは電波傍受が趣味。昔のバンド仲間郁夫は、ピッチ感の違いが原因で妻子と別居。本当に音ばっかりのお話。しかし、そんな狭い世界でドラマが作り出せる辻仁成である。傍から見てるとちょっと微妙だけど本人たちは切実。淡々としたお話だと思います。

ヘッドホンをかけ、大音量でロックをかけながら、騒音測定をする男と他人の会話を盗聴する女。このキャスティングで参りました。音を遮断することで、社会と隔絶することをのぞみながら、音の地図をつくるという行為にふける矛盾。音をキーワードに現代社会のなかでの人の不器用な生き方を描写しています。とてもクールな作品です。

主人公とその友達。２人の男は中途半端なだめ男だからいいのかもしれない。
そしてまた、登場する女性たちもまた、
中途半端で非常に現代的な病に陥っているキャラクターが非常に良い。

お役所勤めの騒音対策課の男が、ある時「音の地図」を作成しはじめる。
それが一つの描写となって作品を通底しているわけだが、それが主テーマではなく、
現代社会の音も聞けなくなってしまった、まともなんだけど落とし穴に陥ってしまった、
普通の現代人を描いてる様が実に良い。
