よしもと ばなな
1964(昭和39)年、東京生れ。日本大学芸術学部文芸学科卒。’87年「キッチン」で「海燕」新人文学賞、’88年単行本『キッチン』で泉鏡花文学賞、’89(平成元)年『TUGUMI』で山本周五郎賞をそれぞれ受賞。海外での評価も高く、イタリアのスカンノ賞、フェンディッシメ文学賞を受賞。『アムリタ(上・下)』(紫式部文学賞)、『不倫と南米』(ドゥマゴ文学賞)など著書多数。2002年8月の『王国その1 アンドロメダ・ハイツ』刊行より、「吉本ばなな」から「よしもとばなな」に改名した(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

物語の内容としては、いかにもばななちゃんの小説って感じで
異次元の世界。宗教色たっぷりだし（笑）
でも、八年間、妻のある男性と付き合って、そして別れたあとの
回想はすごく、すごく、すごくわかるところが多く、泣けた。
初期のころの『キッチン』みたいな作風。
からみのシーンがないところもいい。（よしもとばななのからみがキライ）
いちばんよかったのは、あとがき。

何度も何度も読み返したい。
できればひとりきりで、そして思いっきり泣きたい、そんな本でした。

こころがほっこり温かくなる･･･そんな物語です。
8年間も続いた恋を失ってしまい、心がひどく傷ついている
主人公ほたる。
川が常に住人の側にある故郷でスローライフを送り、
色んなひとたちと触れ合って少しずつ彼女は元気を
取り戻していきます。

序盤は、恋を失ったこころの痛みや辛さ、空虚な感じが
こちらにもひしひしと伝わってきて切なくなるけれど、
不思議な魅力をもった変わったひとたちと関わり、
良い関係を築き癒されていく彼女にこちらの心まで
癒されたような･･･そんな感じに変化していきます。
彼女が故郷で出逢うデジャヴを感じる男性、
彼がとても良い味を出していて素敵。

傷ついているひとが読んだなら、人生ってそんなに
悪いものじゃないかも･･･と思えるんじゃないかな。
そっとこころに寄り添ってくれるような作品です。

たとえ不倫の末でなくとも、恋愛においての別れでなくとも、
『誰かと濃密な時間を過ごした後の突然の別れ』を経験したことが
ある人ならば、とても好きになるお話だと感じました。
もちろん、私もその中のひとりです。

縁がぶちっと切れてしまう。

時々おそってくる、足元からすくわれる感じ･･･。

辛かった記憶を思い出し、電車の中だったというのに泣けて泣けて
読み進められないところもありました。
そんな気持ちを、『ハゴロモ』のようにたくさんの出来事、台詞、
登場人物達がどんどん包んでいってくれます。

これは多分おとぎ話のようなものだ、とばななさんも仰っています。
すこしまいっている時に、こんなステキなおとぎ話に出会えてよかったです。
