大事な人を失い、恋人との事や自分の生活（人生）の中で少しづつ自分の中の明るさとかやる気みたいなものを無くしてしまい、心から疲れてしまった人はきっと夜と昼の境目（生きている事と死んでしまう事）みたいなものが、あやふやになってしまうのですね。
『白川夜船』はそんな女性の再生のお話です。他の２話も夜という時間の中での、人と人との関り合いを静かでゆっくりと綴った物語です。
ちょっと疲れているな、とか夜にゆっくり本でも読みながら過したいなと思っている方におススメです。

ゆったりした気分のときに、ゆったり読んで欲しい一冊。
全体にのんびりとした空気が流れているのはこの人の本の特徴そのまま。
ただあまりのんびりとしているので、合わない人には合わないかも。
江國香織や吉本ばななの空気が好きな人にはおすすめですが、
波乱万丈好きにはおすすめできません。

　ばななさんの作品の中では、とても好きなものです。どうしようもなく心が疲れた時でも、何か救ってくれるものはあるよ、と人生に希望を与えてくれるような作品です。それが、花火であったり、うなぎであったり。ちょっとしたきっかけで、起き上がれる時もあるし、だめだったら、深く眠って起き上がれる時を待てばいいのかも。と、思わせます。
　しかし、本当に疲れた時には、心に入ってこなかったなあ~。あまりにも、複雑すぎて。
　本が読める程度に疲れている人にお薦めかも？です。
