悲しい、あまりに悲しい。
どん底だ。救い、がないのだ。
この話には、はじめから、終わりまで、まったく、救いがないのである。
最後の最後に、そうだったのか、っていう終わり、展開。
途中も、あ、そうなの、とか、そうだよね、っていうトリッキーな展開のよくあるパターンといえばそうだ。
この人（作者）は、実にそれを上手くやってのけている。
淡々とすすむのにもかかわらず、ずっとひきこまれている自分がいるから、本当に、実に巧いといえる。
だけれど、だ。あまりに、悲しいのだ。
母親は読むべからず、人の親は読むべからず。
だから、「告白」を貸してくれた友人には貸せないでいるのだ。

「奇妙な世界」を眺めるようなつもりで読み出し、
いつしかページは中盤へ。すっかり世界に取り
込まれている自分がいました。「いやー、とん
でもない処に連れてこられたなー」と思って、
恨めしく巻頭に戻ると、ありました、そこら
じゅうに「そっちに行くと危険」と告げてい
る道しるべが。
登場人物が皆それぞれ抱える「事情」がせつなくて
悲しいです。

小学校高学年の子供が主人公。

子供の頃の記憶が鮮明な自分にとって、「そうそう！そんな風に
思うことってある！」と昔を懐かしく思いながら読みました。
首吊りをしたS君が蜘蛛に生まれ変わって登場…。その奇抜な設定に
どう向き合うべきなのか戸惑いました。最後にはカラクリが解けるのですが、
一言でいうと「ズルイ作品だなぁ」というところ。加えて読んでいて気持ちの
いいストーリーではありませんね。

この作品は大人が読むより中学生くらいの子向けかなぁとも思いました。
子供心をより理解しやすいのではないでしょうか。読書感想文向けではないので
読む機会はなかなかないかも知れませんが・・・。
