私は酒が飲めない。ビール一杯で顔が真っ赤になるくらいだ。
でもこの本をよむと著者の入った居酒屋に行って美味しいお酒
と煮込みでも頼みたくなる。
口絵の写真がうまそぅ。
それにしても正直な本で、当たりハズレのハズレの店もきちんと
書いている。流行りの雑誌のいい加減な記事なら目をつむるとこ
ろもダメさ加減をきっちりと書いてあり、立派です。

1998年に出た単行本の文庫化。
　本書は「立志篇」と「望郷篇」の間に挟まれた第二作。高知、山形、長崎、横浜、徳島、函館、鹿児島、東京下町、大分、水戸、富山の11ヶ所が取り上げられている。
　残念ながら「疾風篇」はハズレの連続。どこへ行っても良い居酒屋に巡り会えない。なかでも鹿児島の体験は悲惨としかいいようがない。そのせいか全体が暗い印象。
　まあ、どこにでも良い居酒屋があるわけではないという教訓にはなる。

気が向くとふらっと２-３日の旅に出て、西に東に気ままに小さな街に降り立ち、店から店へと紹介されながら小料理屋や居酒屋、スナックを飲み歩いて行く｡ そんなとっても羨ましい居酒屋放浪旅行記です｡

こんな旅してみたい!と思いつつも、こんなペースではしごして肝臓大丈夫かなあと心配になってしまうほど、読むだけ酔っ払い気分が味わえる本です｡
