絲山 秋子
1966(昭和41)年、東京生れ。早稲田大学政治経済学部卒。住宅設備機器メーカーに入社し、2001(平成13)年まで営業職として勤務する。’03年「イッツ・オンリー・トーク」で文學界新人賞を受賞する。’04年『袋小路の男』で川端康成文学賞、’05年『海の仙人』で芸術選奨文部科学大臣新人賞、’06年『沖で待つ』で芥川賞を受賞する(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

消費社会を象徴するかのごとく、読み捨てにされる作品が多く
出回るこの時代に、このような素晴らしい作品と出会えたこと、
非常に感慨深い。

「役に立たないが故に神なのだ」

胸に響く一言。

愛情、絆、命・・・
この世の中の結びつきについて、短い文章で
多くのことを教えてくれるこの著書は大変素晴らしい。
何度も何度も繰り返し「行間を読む」、
そこから得る物はとても大きい。

福井県・日本海の情景と、そこで織りなされる人間関係が
いつまでも記憶に残る、まさに「珠玉の一品」。

何かが始まるこの時期に読む。是非。

ハッピーエンドな愛を満喫したければ他を読めっ！
．．．と言わんばかりの切ない物語。

絲山作品は、 『逃亡くそたわけ』 、 『袋小路の男』 についで3作目。
いずれの物語でも、ふたりが幸せに結ばれることはないけれど、
登場人物たちの木訥（ぼくとつ）とした優しさが胸にじんとくる …　(-公-。)

この物語．．．カッツォにあれほどの心の傷を持たせることが、
物語を成立させる上で必要なのか考えてしまった。
カッツォがかりんを抱けないだけの理由にしてはつら過ぎる．．．

宝くじで3億円当てたカッツォの仙人生活は、
社会とのつながりを断ち切って人生を謳歌しているというよりも、
むしろ、社会からはじき出された弱者の隠遁生活に近いだろう。
そこにしか定住できないカッツォ．．．．
次々とすみかを代えるヤドカリはあこがれ？

ある一面、孤独な仙人生活も、心の傷がトラウマになっているのか？
そもそも "ファンタジー" って何？
神？まぼろし？孤独なカッツォの多重人格？
この話、深い心の傷を持った人への静かな応援歌なのかもしれない。

読みやすい小説なのに，とても深かったです．
人間が背負っている孤独があっさりとした文体で書かれています．
普通の会話の中にさらっと書かれている一言が，とても印象に残る作品です．
男女3人が主な登場人物というと，ただの恋愛小説かと思ってしまいますが，
神様であるファンタジーの登場で，恋愛の域を超えた本になっています．

簡単な文章の中に何かを読みとれる本です．
ぜひ一度読んでいただきたいです．
