なってる自分に気づき驚いています。
この小説を読むだけでモデルとなった11代目市川団十郎が
いかに魅力的であったのか、想像するだけで胸がいっぱいになります。
　どんなに主（後の夫）に辛く当たられても、主人公・光乃の献身的で一途に尽くす姿には、
共感せずにはいられません。
　芯まで惚れこんでしまったら仕方ない、むしろ、ソコまで惚れこめる

相手に出会えたことを羨ましいとさえ感じてしまいました。
　
今は亡き11代目市川団十郎を偲ぶべく、生き写しだと評判の高い
市川新之助さんに夢中になって美しい歌舞伎の世界を堪能しています。

この話は、十一代目　市川團十郎様の奥様がモデルとなって描かれています。
上巻よりも下巻には、「確かにモデルがいる」と思える場面があちことにあります。
例えば、実際に芸能ニュースとなったことを元にしているんだろうなあ･･･と思われる場面とか。
でもね、どうしても現実とは思えない場面もあるんです。
例えば、出産シーン。これは現実じゃないだろう･･･と思ったら、
宮尾さんが、「十二代目を出産する際に立ち会ったお産婆さんに会って話が聞けた時に、この話を描けると思った」みたいなことをインタビューで答えていらっしゃいました。
ものすごーくびっくりしました。
なんで、そんなに驚いたのかは、是非、本編を読んでいただきたい！

主人公の一生を言葉で表現するなら「忍耐と献身」であろう。自分よりも主のことをまず考え、自分が守るべき分を常に考える人。宮沢賢治の「雨ニモマケズ」を地でいく人。そういう生き方を貫いた人だからこそ、尚更、出産シーンには神々しいまでの人間力を感じた。とても爽快な読後感だった。
