精神世界など、目に見えない世界に興味があればきっと面白い本です。お釈迦様関連の本、「空」の理論、「スッタニパータ」を読んで、「ヴタの理論」をよむと、うならずにいられません。本を読んでから、しばらくして　ダイヤモンドヘッドに登る機会があり、頂上で偶然（必然？）虹をみました、本の内容と、子供のころ見た虹を思い出しながら。旅に深みが増しました。

内容は虹そのものを扱った科学の解説書などではなく、”虹”の概念に基づいた様々な哲学的理論を、宗教的な味付けをして紹介するものです。
はっきり言って難解です。このテの話が好きな人にしかお勧めできません。ただし分かる人には、たまらなく魅力的な話が詰まった本だと思います。

個人的には霊魂と霊魂の決闘の話が強く印象に残りました。こんな不思議なお話が現代にもまだ、あるんですね。

ロマンチックな書き出しだろう
久しぶりに読み返してそう思いました

寂しくてたまらないとか
恋をしてしまったとか
そういう普通じゃない心の状態のとき読むと
かなり効きます

学生の頃ぼろぼろになるまで読みました
今読むと
すこし気恥ずかしいです
でも素敵です
