数多の出版本のはざ間をかいくぐり、世間のニッチなところを攻めたルポルタージュと実体験。
そのテーマがはっきりしていて、取り組み内容がオタッキーなだけにユニークに仕上がっています。
世間一般では知られていないお仕事といったところで、俗っぽい興味や好奇心を抱いてしまうことでしょう。
本書に登場してくる人物は、その職業に芯の強いこだわりを持っているところが伺えます。
ざっくばらんな感じで、ちょっとした暇つぶしに流しながら読むような本だと思います。

万引きバスター、私立探偵、超能力開発セミナー。前半はテレビの特番でみかける内容。それなりには楽しめるが、たいしたことはない。『怪しいお仕事』の方が面白かったゾ、と考えながら読み始めた「第三章エロスのお仕事」。爆笑！！ダッチワイフ製造業者の職人魂、汁男優の屈折、これはたまらん。おもしろい！！やっぱり、こういう突撃レポートはエロ関係にトドメをさすのか…。

こういう突撃ものは、レポートする人のキャラクターを知っていると面白さが増す（逆の場合もある）のだが、顔を知っているだけでもかなり違う。そういう意味で、本書が著者の顔写真が載っている新潮社から発売されたのはポイントが高い。

どう見てもカタギには見えない著者（人は良さそうだが）の取材光景を頭に浮かべながら読むと、かなり楽しめる本である。

　万引きバスター、浮気調査の私立探偵、超能力開発セミナー、タイで日本人移住者をカモにするカモリ屋、月収100万円のメルマガライターなどを取材。また、主婦モデル、ダッチワイフ製造業者、ＡＶの汁男優など風俗産業も取り上げている。
　取材には濃淡があって、単に取材して話を聞いただけのものは、あまり引き込まれないが、著者自身が体験した新聞拡張団や超能力開発セミナー、あるいは、同行した浮気調査などはなかなか読ませる。
　それぞれに興味深いテーマであり、一気に読めてしまう内容なので、読んで損はないと思う。
