泣ける本、心が温まる本というのはよく聞きますが、「驟り雨」は心が落ち着くような物語が集まった短編集です。仕事や生活に疲れた、心がちょっとすさんだかなと感じたとき、人生って案外いいよなって思わせます。初めて藤沢周平作品を読もうと思った人にもお勧めします。

　タイトルになっている「驟り雨 」は藤沢作品の特徴をよくあらわしていると思います。やりきれない現実の中に一筋の救いがある。われわれは、主人公がこの糸ほどもはかない救いを掴み取ることを期待し、その実現に安堵します。すべてがこの作品にに凝縮されているといってもよいでしょう。いろんな藤沢作品を読みましたが、これほど緻密に出来上がった作品はほかにありません。「三屋清左衛門残日録」、「よろずや平四郎活人剣」、「用心棒日月抄 」のシリーズ、どれも話が軽快で人情味がある読み応えのある作品ですが、只一つ好きな作品をといわれれば、この作品を選びます。

江戸の町で、懸命に生きる裏店の人々を深く描く全10編
■「贈り物」
まったくしょうがない！いい人過ぎちゃって・・・・そこまでしなくとも・・
■「うしろ姿」
まったく、しょうがない旦那だ！　しかし、憎めない。弱い人には優しくしないとね！
■「ちきしょう！」
あー、確かに「ちきしょう！」だ。
解かる、解かる、それでいいんだ！！やっちまえ！
■「驟り雨」
本の「タイトル」短編小説。
「まったく！しょうがないやつだ！」
しかし、笑っちゃうな。もー、人が良いと言うかなんていうか、
「まったく！」これしかない！
今でも、コントで使えるネタだ。
■「人殺し」
解かるけど、そりゃヤバいでしょ？
でも、解かります、その気持ち！本当は正しいのかも知れないけど・・・
■「朝焼け」
まったく、あんたってやつは、どうしようもないやつだ！しっかりしてくれよ！
しかし・・・、
「お品」っていい女だなー
■「遅いしあわせ」
そうか、よかった！
■「運の尽き」
ハハハー、所詮色男はこうなるんだ！
でもよかったジャン？
■「捨てた女」
タイトルからしてすごいんだけど、
「まったくもー、遅いんだよ　あんたは！」
■「泣かない女」
あー、辛い。お才の言葉が辛すぎる・・。
しかし、
「おい　道蔵！その選択で迷う気持ちは十分解かる。しかし・・それをやっちゃーおしめーだよ」。
でも、最後は、よかった、安心した。
そうだ、それでこそ男だ！
でも、一言、ちゃんと謝ったらどうだ？
