藤沢 周平
1927‐1997。山形県生れ。山形師範卒業後、結核を発病。上京して五年間の闘病生活をおくる。’71(昭和46)年、「溟い海」でオール読物新人賞を、’73年、「暗殺の年輪」で直木賞を受賞。時代小説作家として、武家もの、市井ものから、歴史小説、伝記小説まで幅広く活躍(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

短編集では「神隠し」がピカイチ！と思ったが、
何の！この「時雨のあと」はいいなー。
東西両横綱と言った感じでしょうか？

■お薦め度＆評価：
★★★★★（満点！）
これは「超・お薦め」

■「雪明り」
映画「隠し剣　鬼の爪」は、藤沢周平作品の３作を合わせた内容だった。
その１作がこれ。前にも読んだが、いい話で泣けちゃいます。
「由乃は跳べと言っている」・・・・「いま、跳んだのか？」
その勇気は、若さか？　いいなー

■ 「闇の顔」
この７話の中では長編。読み応えあります。
最後に、びっくり。

■ 「時雨のあと」
表題作。この「兄妹愛」は悲しい。だけど、“兄”ほんと　どうにかして欲しい。説教してやりたいぐらい。でも良いキャラしています。前半は漫才のようです。
しかし、兄を信じながら苦界に身を沈めて・・・・。それでも兄は・・
まったく　もう！

■ 「意気地なし」
これは安心しながら読めます。
いいなー、あー　羨ましい。

■ 「秘密」
とボケた爺さんにも昔はこんなことがあったのだ。
最後笑っちゃいます。いい話だ。

■ 「果し合い」
もしかしなくとも、この短編７作の中で一番かも。
いい話だなー、
こんな陰の爺に　私もなりたい。憧れます。

■ 「鱗雲」
悲しいけど、最後はハッピーエンド。
こういう後味のいいのは救われます。

　美しいものにふれていると幸せで濃厚な時間となる。サラブライトマンの澄んだ歌声にうっとりとし、中日ドラゴンズの選手の奇跡的なプレーに喝采を送る（ｆａｎです）。いい時間である。藤沢周平の小説の魅力もラストシーンの美しさにある。「おー」とため息をつくことしばしばである。この『時雨のあと』は短編集。最後にある「鱗雲」 のラストシーン、これはいい。何度読んでも心に響く。涙が出そう。短編の中で最も好きな作品だ。

一冊の中に、武家ものと町人ものの短編が半々ぐらいで収められています。

個人的には、しがらみの中での苦悩が描かれる事が多い武家ものが好きなんですが、表題作の｢時雨のあと｣は、町人ものながら思わず泣けてしまいました。
身を持ち崩した兄妹の再生へと向かう一編です。名編だと思います。

また、悲劇的な結末を迎える作品が少ないのも、この短編集の特徴だと思います。
