このシルクロード編を読んでいると、文中でも使われてる蒼味を帯びた風がスーッと吹いてく
るようなそんな感じを受ける。最初の方の勢いというものが薄れていき、著者自身の内面描写
にスポットが当たる部分も多い。だが迷い迷う姿には誠実さがあるような気がした。

ここでは乗り合いのバスがメインで淡々と進む所があるので、ある種起伏に欠けるが、それで
も一台のバスの中に多国籍の放浪者達が集まる画は想像しただけで何か面白いし、バスの窓か
ら時折覗く景色に非常に心が揺れるね。淡々としてるが、そこここに微妙に違う色があって
感慨深いね。

最初の香港編から物乞いはずーっと出てきたが、ここで登場したロッテルダムの男という青年
が、ほぼ限りなく文無しに近いのに、それでも物乞いの子供たちに自分の金をわけてやる姿に
は感動したし考えさせられたね。著者もそこで衝撃を受けて、ある意味解放されて自由に
なったと書いてるが、ほんとあげるのが良いとか悪いとかの理屈じゃないのね。生きるのも
生きれるのも理屈じゃないと、、、。

ここから旅も冬に突入するのかも、蒼味を帯びた風が吹いたとき、それがどこから吹いてるの
かと前に進めるか、その冷たさに震えて立ちすくむ、もしくは終わってしまう、そうゆう放浪
の旅独特の転機を垣間見た気がした。

私もこの本から大きな影響を受けた一人です。この本を読んだ後、沢木氏がこの旅をした26-27歳位迄に何度も海外一人旅をしました。この本には確かに特有の自意識の過剰さがありますが、それも彼の当時の若さゆえのところが大きいです。私は彼とは違いサラリーマンを続けてしまっていますが（沢木氏は３日？で会社勤めをやめた）、若いころの自分をこの本に投影できるような気がして、今でも時々読み返します。とにかく一度は読もう。お勧めです。

私はこのような旅はできない（というかそこまでしたくない）へなちょこなんですが、読んでいるとやはり面白いです。
夜、窓のバスから見る風景に、テヘランの街が現れる場面は美しいし、そんな光景を見てみたいとも思いました。

女のバックパッカーもいるしバックパッカーやらない男もいるので単純に男女分けはできませんが、どちらかというとこういうのは、青年（男）の旅心なんだろうなと思います。

でも、つまらない真面目で穏当な意見を言いますと、当時とは世界情勢も旅行事情も違うし、これから実際に海外一人旅デビューしたい人は、フツーにガイドブック等で下調べしたほうがいいと思います。
ほんとに旅券とお金と地図だけ持って出られたらかっこいいけどね。
どのくらい「深夜特急」シリーズを手本にして大丈夫かは、ご自分の度胸と技量と相談してください。。。
