「時代を超えて繰り返しめぐりあう二人」本当にそれだけのお話です。
壮大なロマンスですが、ちょっと壮大すぎます。好みはあるのでしょうが、私は全然入り込めませんでした。
恩田作品をこれから読む方はとりあえず別のを選んでいただきたいです。1作品目としては私はお勧めしません。

でも章ごとの絵画はイマジネーションをかきたてられ、各々じっくり見入ってしまいました。
その構成はよかったです。

先の展開が読めるお話ではあったのですが、文章の流れがとても綺麗で気づけば惹き込まれている、そんな印象があります。
切ないのだけれど、どこか温かいような。
エリザベスとエドワードの僅かな再会の瞬間を、一緒になってドキドキ
待ってしまいました。
何度も読みたい！というよりは、時折開いて世界に浸りたい、そんな
作品。

イマジネーションの積み重ねに目眩。
ほんの少しの邂逅であったり永すぎてそれと気づくことができないでいたり。
あかるい空中庭園を彷徨ってにいるような不思議な気持ちになります。
