岩合さんの写真は、ほのぼのとした旅行の風情をかもしだしてくれる。
日本国内にしろ、海外にしろ、猫のいる風景は和みます。

人間の言うことを必ずしも聞かない猫、
そういう猫の姿を、よく留めておいていただけました。

イワゴーさんが撮るといつもそのネコたちは 「イワゴーさんのネコ」 になる。

ジっとしていても歩いても飛び上がっても美しいネコのしなやかさに、またノックアウトされちゃいました。　中には 「こんな人 居るよねぇ」と思うような人間くさい猫も居たり、とにかく何度観ても楽しい、イワゴーさんの文章もやさしい、イイ一冊になっています。

なお、この本は 「旅ゆけば猫」 の文庫版 ＆ 「岩合光昭のスーパーネコ写真術」、文庫版あとがき、が追加されたもののようです。

いつも自然な様子のネコの写真を届けてくれる写真家岩合光昭氏による文庫本です。
オールカラーで日本各地のネコの写真が満載です。都市部よりものんびりした田舎が多く、自然に息づいているネコたちがいます。
カメラマンとしての岩合さんの前でポーズを取って撮ってもらったモデルネコではなく、岩合さんがネコの仲間に入って撮影したかのような、
ネコの普通の日常をそのままとらえた写真が載っています。さながらネコの毎日のドキュメンタリーのようです。
撮影しながらまわった全国各地でのエピソードも綴られ、ネコだけでなくネコと関わる人々との触れ合い、ネコと人との触れ合いも伝わってきます。
後半は、Ｑ＆Ａ形式でネコ写真の撮り方について詳しく指南します。この後半にも、かわいいネコ写真がいっぱいです。
ネコの日常生活がそのまま見えてくるような、楽しい本です。とてもかわいいだけでなく、全身の姿も美しく、ネコのしなやかさが伝わってきます。
