筒井康隆風に味付けされた刑事ミステリー。
と言うよりは、ミステリーの名を借りた、
喜劇とでも言えばいいだろうか。
この方にしては珍しく、ＳＦでもドタバタものでもないが、
きちんと楽しめる作品に仕上がっているのは流石の一言。
ファンも、そうでない方も読んで損は無し。
ただ、この作品のイメージで筒井康隆を見ると、

他とのギャップに驚くかも知れない。
あと、これ一冊で完結しているのが残念と言えば残念。

深キョンのＴＶを観てから読みました。原作は男が主人公、なのはいいとして”キャデラックを乗り廻し、最高のハバナの葉巻をくゆらせた富豪刑事が次々と事件を解決していく”だなんてあらすじを読んで、日本人離れした彫りの深い面した胸毛の濃い高級ブランドなスーツで着やせするムキムキ男が、自信たっぷりに嫌味に事件を解決しちゃっているのかしら、なんて考えたらすっげーイヤ！と思っちゃいました。でも、読み始めたら全然違う！主人公のイメージ。貴重なる彼の最初のセリフは「あのう」・・・！しかも”いちばんドアに近い席でおずおず片手をあげながら。”謙虚！ってゆーか、まんま深キョンな仕草じゃないですか。（笑）可愛すぎる！初っぱなから笑わせていただきました。この富豪刑事、決して出過ぎず意外と良識と常識を持って任務を全うしていきます。お金に対する感覚だけが富豪ゆえに突拍子もないだけで。（でも彼にとってはフツウの感覚）ＴＶ化にあたって主人公を女の子にしたのは良い発想だと思います。高級そうな華々しい出で立ちが嫌味なく演出できますしね。（使う女優を間違えると嫌味になる可能性もあるが深キョンはその点難なくごうかーく！！）それにしても筒井さん、なんで毎回出演してるんですか？（笑）いえ、面白いのでいいんですけれどね。（笑）

　筒井康隆と言う人はブラックユーモアやペーソスの利いたかなりクセの強い作品からＮＨＫでドラマ化されるようなジュブナイルまで守備範囲が広い。この作品は手放しで笑えるようなユーモアミステリー作品に仕上がっているので、筒井作品の毒に免疫のない初心者にも安心して勧められる。

　ただ、氏の作品を読み込んでいる筒井ファンにとっては少し軽過ぎる内容かも。でも、やっぱり楽しめる一冊です。
