いしい しんじ
1966(昭和41)年大阪生れ。京都大学文学部仏文学科卒。2000(平成12)年、初の長篇小説『ぶらんこ乗り』を発表。’03年、『麦ふみクーツェ』で坪田譲治文学賞受賞。’04年、『プラネタリウムのふたご』が三島賞候補作に(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

全体的にひらがなが多い文章で続く童話のような物語。
しかし、そこには生きていく上で必要なことを教えてくれる。
主人公は自分に劣等感を持っている部分がある。そんな彼が聞こえるようになった麦踏みの音。誰もが劣等感を持っていることに、どうしていけばいいのかを主人公は知ることになる。読んでいる読者も。
時々登場人物が語る話には、何故かいつも心を突かれた。特にオウムの話が心に残りました。なぜか忘れられない。作者はちょっとした物語の作り方もうまいと思う。

読み終わった後は不思議と暖かい気持ちになれる。音楽って本当にいいもんだなぁと思えるはず！良い作品だと思います。
クーツェはけっこう身近にいるものなのかもしれない。

音楽にきびしいおじいちゃん。
素数とねずみを追うお父さん。
大きすぎるからだで「ねこ」より「ねこ」らしい声をだすぼく。

３人にふりかかったできごとのはじまりとおわり。

この作品には完ぺきなひとはいません。
予言めいたことばを主人公に伝えるクーチェも、完ぺきじゃない。
ある登場人物はこういいます。
「そのクーチェってやつはよほどのばかか、あるいは悲しいくらいまじめなやつなんだろうね」

絵がうかぶほど、色彩と情景ゆたかな作品です。
全４章で構成されていますが、特に１章はそれだけでもひとつの作品になるほど。
美術方面にも才能を発揮する作者だからか、
本というキャンパスに描かれた絵を、隅々まで見せてもらったという感じです。
物語はこれ以上は望まない。でも、そこからいろいろなものを感じとれる……そんな作品です。

みんなばらばらで、悲劇的で、でもたしかなしあわせを目指している。
その絵のなかで、金色の麦をふみしめるクーチェは、いったいだれなのか。

読書後、不思議な感覚をおぼえながら、たぶん、ほわっとした何かを感じると思います。

はじめていしいしんじさんのおはなしを読みました。
大人の童話だと思いました。それもとてもとても深い童話です。
読みながら村上春樹と宮沢賢治が頭を何度もかすりました。
不思議な登場人物が何人もでてきて
主人公の’ねこ’に影響をあたえて成長していくすがたを軸にして
おはなしはすすんでいきます。
はじめ読んだとき、なんだこれは・・・・どうなっちゃうんだこの話は、こんなに長いのにと思っていました。
ところが、読めば読むほど、先が読みたくなります。
最後になってはじめて、ああそうだったのか・・・・・いろんなことがつながって、
かかれている言葉のひとつひとつには実は重みがあって考えさせられます。
この世で生をうけて生きていることについて、そして
うわべにごまかされることなく、本当に大切なことは何なのか
自分は自分でいいのだということ。
せつなさちょっぴり、生きていくことに勇気をもらえる一冊だと思います。
