以前から三國さんの大ファンで、彼が味覚に関する授業をやられているのは知っていました。そんな私にはまさしく朗報！といえる本なので、すぐに購入しました。たんなるレシピ本とは視点が違って、内容的にもとても興味深く、写真も綺麗なので、掲載されているレシピを試したいと思ってしまいました。大人にとっても、大変興味深い内容でした。

最近テレビの報道番組でも取り上げられている、世界的シェフ・三國清三が全国の小学校で取り組んでいる味覚の授業「KIDSシェフ」の内容を紹介した本。どんな精神論よりも、このような総合的学習を受けて育った少年･少女こそが、きっと感性豊かな生徒･学生に（そして大人に）なっていくのだろうな、と日本の将来に期待を持たされる。子供たちが、味覚を鍛えて、日本各地の名産食材にも誇りを持ち、想像力を豊かにすれば、心も（日本も）豊かになるだろう、と確信できる。そう、三國シェフのレシピも満載。まずは、本書にあるマヨネーズとハンバーグから作ってみようか！！

こういう本で、子供をだしにするのは卑怯だと思う。
食育というだれも反論できないような分野もどうかな
とおもう。
へんなオヤジがきて、うまいもん食わしてもらった
くらいにしか子供たちは思わないだろうが、これが
定着して、えらいさんが本気になったときを狙って
いる感じがして、タイトル含めていやな本だ。
