あなたが、他ならぬ あ・な・た！が、裁判員になった場合の、さまざまな危険を考える上で、大変に有益な書物です。
また、素人のあなたが裁判員になった場合、ぜんぜん悪気（わるぎ）がなくても、被告や被害者に無用の害悪を加えてしまう恐れがあるということを知る上でも、有益です。

著者のお一人、「大久保太郎」氏の経歴を拝見すると、昭和３年出生、３１年裁判官任官とあるので、まだ、氏が任官した当時は、日本敗戦前に行われていた「陪審裁判制度」の経験者が法曹界や大学に大勢さんいらっしゃったはずの時代。よほど不勉強なのか、それとも大嘘つきなのか、大久保氏は、日本で陪審制裁判が行われていた事実を「知らない」と、ご自分の無知をさらけ出す戦術のつもりのようだ。
戦前、日本で行われた陪審制の提唱者は「平民宰相」こと政友会内閣「原敬」首相。
原首相が、陪審制裁判を提議した動機として、明治末期の「日糖事件」と「大逆事件」の２つの事件の存在があった。どちらも、ときの権力者に阿った検事、裁判官が、事実認定を枉げ違法な法解釈を施して有罪判決を下した冤罪事件の典型だった。
その後、海外視察の機会を得たさいに、原敬氏みずから欧米諸国の裁判事情を調べて、前記２つの事件のような裁判官による冤罪捏造を防止するには、裁判に一般市民が参加する仕組みが必要だとして提案したのがもとになって、日本にも「陪審制」が成立することになった。
現在、１０月１日が「法の日」となっているのは、この陪審制施行を記念したもの。
日本で陪審制が行われていた事実を、もと裁判官なのに、大久保さんって、本当に知らないの？　およそ信じられるような話ではねぇーよな。お惚け？ それとも認知症なの？
