あらすじの「突然死んでしまった。でも１０歳から人生をやり直して、"奇跡のかけら"を集めれば死なずにすむ。」という一文から、結構暗い話なのかと思いました。
でも思ったほど暗い話でもなくて、今の生きている時間を大切にしたいと思ったり、ちょっとこれからの人生に触れ合いがほしくなるような、そんな一冊です。

主人公『鋼一』は今までの人生(１０歳に戻る前)では、友人もガールフレンドも居なくてネガティブな性格でした。けれども、人生に悔いが無いように生きたいと決心してしました。

しかし、自分を蘇らせた『マキエル』が言うには、
「必ずまた同じ死の原因がおとずれるけど、それに背いてはいけない。」
「それまで悔いの無い人生を送ると良い。」
「"奇跡のかけら"を集めきれば必ず助かる。」
と言う事で、勇気を持ってクラスメイトを助けたところから人生が変わり始め、未来の友人の不幸を回避しようと一生懸命になったり、『鋼一』という人間に好感がもてる様になりました。

全体的な文章はラブコメではなくてかなりシリアスです。
１巻で完結で、結果まで全部読みきれます。
やや厚めの一冊ですが、物語には引き込まれるものがあって、すらすらと読み終わりました。

10歳からはじまる男の子と女の子の甘酸っぱいお話です。
とっても素敵なお話でした。

「その日彼は死なずにすむか？」という作品名は野暮ったいと思いませんか？
あと「ガガガ文庫」という名称も何とかならないものでしょうか？

うん、新人さんの綺麗な話でラノベ系の書評ではとても評価が高いんだけどね。どうだろ。

とにかく、せっかくの設定がもったいないよなぁ。

主人公の12歳から17歳の第二次性徴期の部分をあっさりとすっ飛ばしてるので、御伽噺としても薄っぺらくなってるよなぁ。

タナトスを書くならエロスも書かなきゃ。
