プレスをしている私の友だちのことを書かれているのかと、読みながら驚かずにはいられませんでした。

たしかにこのような厳しい世界は存在するし、仕事に生き甲斐を感じて全精力を注いでいる女性はいます。そして、勝ち取った栄冠がある反面、泣きたくなるほど過酷でみじめであることも事実。これほどの苦労がなければほんの一握りの成功者に、そしてその座はすぐに奪われてしまうのだけれど、なれないのも事実なのでしょう。

主人公のように体力も知力も努力しようとする勢いさえない私には、本当に憧れる生き方です。空しさという点を除けば。空しささえ、最後には主人公は楽しんでいる風に思えますが。

とてもとても勉強になりました。著者の力量に尊敬の念をこめて。

化粧品業界の主人公が、一度は落ちぶれたものの、男にヘッドハンティングされて再び返りさくストーリである。その過程で化粧品業界の裏側が垣間見れたり、大人の恋愛がみれたりと、息をつかせぬテンポで話が進んでいきます。

この物語の主人公と同年代なので　結婚に対する考え方、男性に対する考え方には　人事でないものを感じました。仕事のできる女性全てがこうだとは思いませんが　こういう生き方はどうなんだろう？　ここまで仕事にかけていないのに　仕事以外では主人公と似たような生活をしている自分はどうなんだろう？読み終わった後に　色々考えさせられた作品でした。３０代で仕事や結婚に悩む方に　お勧めの一冊です。
