夢ややりたいことが見出せず、NEETがあふれる現代においては本当の生き方を実践するのはなかなか難しい。
１．自分のやりたいこと
２．自分ができること
３．世間が求めていること
この３つを満たせた人は幸運だ。あまねく成功者になっている。この３つがそろわないために人は紆余曲折、試行錯誤を繰り返す。

「３５までにやりたいことがみつかればいいね」
言論界で活躍する著者が若者に発したこの言葉は僕の心にすごく優しく響いた。

著者自身も辛酸を舐めているがゆえに説得力が増す。

仕事とはなにか？
生きるとはなにか？
もう一度問い直そう。

そして自分の人生を自分の手で勝ち取っていつか福田氏とお酒を飲んでみたい。

決して高所から見下ろすのではなく、また優しげな言葉だけを言葉だけをかけるのでもない。少し年長の先輩が自分の体験談を交えながら、自分らしく生きるとはどういうことかについて真面目に書いてくれている一冊です。
自分自身、就職活動で自分を見失いかけていた時だったので、この本を読んでいろいろな事を考えました。

学生は思わずハウツー本やマニュアル本ばかりに目が行ってしまうと思いますが、時にはこういう本を読んで、自分らしいとはどういうことかについて真面目に考えてみてもいいのではないでしょうか。
もちろん学生に限らず、少なくとも、読んでおいて絶対に損はない本です。

　厳しくとも優しく、単なる理想論ではない人生論。学生時代に会っておきたかった気がするが、まだ遅くないなと感じた。説教臭いところは全くなく、真摯に自分の心に響くものを感じた。挫けそうになった時、またこの本をひも解いてみたいと読み終わった時に感じた。３５際までには出会っておきたい。それは励ましとして「３５までにやりたい仕事が見つかるといいね」という言葉があるからだ。これは心地よく読める年齢というものがあると思う。
