１２歳以下の子供を持つ親、全員の必読書である。
偉そうな教育論を読む前に、まずこれが躾の基本である。
なぜなら・・・

１）スポーツマンシップとは、スポーツにまったく関係ない。
　　人間の生き方である。だから、芸術する人も、美術する人も
　　すべてスポーツマンシップを考えることができる。

２）筆者によれば１２歳まででないと身に付かない。
　　親に出来ることは、１２歳までにこれを伝えること。

３）なんと筆者はこのビデオを全国の小学校に無料配布した。
　　だけど、きっとほこりを被っている学校も多いはず。
　　この本を読んで、「よい」と思ったら、学校にかけあおう。

最後に、ある日本を代表する会社の社長がこの本を読んで、
スポーツマンシップとは良きビジネスマンシップですね。
ということを言ったことがあるらしい。
それだけのスゴイ本である。（しかも１００％クリーン）

あなたはスポーツマンシップを説明できますか？

という問いから始まる本書は，
私たちがスポーツをする者に何を望んでいるのか，
スポーツに何を求めているのか，

ということを簡潔で平易な文章で一つ一つ説明してくれます．
他のレヴュアーも書かれていますが，小さい子どもの親は必読です．

特に，少年スポーツに関わっている指導者は，
競技力の前にスポーツマンシップを教えていただきたいものです．

対戦相手を罵る選手を面白がり，
審判に詰め寄ることが当たり前になり，
反則ギリギリを「高度なプレー」と解説する．
これらはスポーツに不要な光景です．

コンパクトな本ですが内容は濃厚．
