前に何冊かこの方の本を読んだことがあるのですが、それらの内容をまとめて、特に女性向けに総括した内容になっています。岩月氏の本を読んだことが無い人はこの本が一番入りやすいと思います。絵も多いので。ただ、内容的には、過去に売れていたコレット・ダウリングの本「母と娘という関係」「シンデレラ・コンプレックス」と重なるところが多いです。ただ、この本の方がどう考えても内容が簡単なので、まずこの本を読んで「あ、やばいかも」と思ったら。コレット・ダウリングの本をじっくり読んでみることを勧めます。初めからコレットの本を読んでいる人は、わざわざこの本を読む必要は無いでしょう。

幸せな恋愛がしたいのに、いつも変な恋愛になってしまう！そこまでは無くても、なぜか結婚に踏み切れない！何て思っている方、ひいては、全ての女性に読んで欲しい一冊です。宣伝みたいだけど、ほんとにこの本を読んで、周りのカップルがうまくいくかどうかがわかるようになってしまいました。

幸せになるのが怖いという心理をもつ女性がいるという事実は興味深いです。いわれてみれば確かに、どこかで歯止めをかけてしまうのが女性かもしれません。
