夢ゾウでブレイクする前からメルマガ取ってましたし
著者の本は全部読んでます。

あれだけのベストセラーを売ったあとに､私小説のようなこの本を
出した勇気が凄いです。

一般ウケする本ではないです。

どちらかというと「売れるかどうかは知らないが、著者が出したかった本」
なのだと思います。

夢ゾウの影響からか、本書をそれになぞらえて評価するレビューが多かった。

個人的な考えですが、この本は恋愛のマニュアル本という意図ではなく
恋愛というケーススタディを使った、著者の人生訓小説なのだと思う。

著者のコンセプトである「天才を倒す」
(才能ある人をみてがっかりするのでなく､凡人である自分がやれるだけのことをする)という視点が
いかんなく発揮された小説だと思う。

なので、「大学生の恋愛攻略」というシーンではなく
「人生の壁にぶちあたったときの物語」というくくりで読んだ方が楽しいと思う。

恋愛においても、ビジネスにおいても
”相手の立場になって考える”ことの重要性をキレイ事として誰もが知っているが
現実のシーンで、心理的葛藤があるのでなかなか実践できないし、
そいった感覚をつかめない人の方が多いと思う。
これまでの著作、「ウケル技術」や「Love論」の中でも同じコンセプトを
伝えている。しかし今回、小説により主人公が実際に
「自分は傷つきたくない」という自分側に焦点を当てている状態から
「相手を楽しませる」という焦点に切り替えていく描写によって
そのコンセプトを、主人公を追体験することでより伝わった。


＊青山あたりの描写が古い、と他のレビュアーが書いていましたが
青山在住10年の私からみても別にどこも古くないです。2009.6現在
つーか、著者は恵比寿あたりに住んでいるので青山の描写を間違えることは
考えにくいのですが。

まったくもてないゲームオタクの大学生が、愛らしい柴犬を連れたホームレス？の春男（西郷隆盛or山下清似）というダサい男から、女性をモノにするテクニックを伝授してもらうという話です。
夢をかなえるゾウのように細かい章立てになっておらず今回は普通の小説に近い形式ですが、春男が金言格言をことあるごとに口にする点では共通してます。前半は、主人公が春男の指南で女性をナンパするという展開で後半は学生サークルのコンパに潜入し女性を手に入れようという流れ。
前作同様会話やキャラクターのユニークさは楽しいですが、正直大人には物足りない「子供のお話」です。「夢をかなえるゾウ」とは別物として考えた方が期待を裏切られずに済むかもしれません。

後半はコンパの場面のみで展開がなく、女性もホストのような学生たちもステレオタイプな描かれ方であったり、春男のキャラクターがあまり生かされず、著者の「ウケる技術」そのまま応用しただけでした。高校時代の友人との再会やライバルとの因縁などもありがちです。
春男の正体などは続編で明かされるようですが、次は買うかどうか・・・。

『夢をかなえるゾウ』に感動したので、期待して読んだら･･･。
しかし一歩を踏み出すことが大事であるということは学んだので、早速実践しよっと。
