思わず悲しくなって泣きました。この小説に登場する子達は実はみんないい子、だけど少しだけ意地やプライドを持って生きている子達。六本木で働く６人の女の子達、なんだか気持ちがわかる気がしました。プライドが高く強いようでいて、内面は弱い彼女達、第2話のキャバ嬢、これは小説ですがきっと現実にもありそうな話。悲しい六本木の夜、落ちていく彼女達だけではなく、いろいろと考えさせられました。

台風が東京を襲ったある夜。
その舞台上でいくつものドラマが生まれる。

全ての作品に、少しづつのつながりを持たせて一つの作品に為すという所謂短編小説ではよく使われる技法ですが、よく使われるという事は、それだけ話を纏めやすいという事になります。

このパープルレインもご多分に漏れず綺麗に纏まった短編集になっています。
しかし、ただの短編集じゃない。

人生を綺麗に生きられない女性達が必死に生きていこうとする様が、まさに真に迫って描かれています。

上から目線って訳ではありませんが、前作である11センチのピンヒールを読んだときはエッセイと比べるとどうかな〜ってのが、本当の感想でした。

しかし、このパープルレインはいい。

11センチのピンヒールと違って、周りに薦めまくっている一冊です。

悲しいですが、きっと時代とともに忘れ去られる一冊にはなってしまうのでしょうが、清濁混ぜて描けているすばらしい作品である以上、多くの人から忘れられてもきっと読んだ人の心には何かを残してくれる作品ではないでしょうか？

1冊の本として好きです!ストーリーから構成からカバーまで、私のツボでした。
登場する女の子は6人、それぞれが切なくて、「感動系」とかじゃなく自然に自分と共感できる部分に、切なくて涙でました。
そして、6つ話がつながっていくのが面白くて、一気に読みました。前作も好きだけど、更にリリーさんの言葉の使い方、文のうまさを感じました!次も楽しみにしてます!
