ストーリーはともかく、描写に使う表現において言葉を飾りすぎていて
最後まで馴染めませんでした。無理して言葉を美化しようとしてる感じがして
かえって臨場感に欠ける感じがしました。

たとえば、兄が自殺した家族がどういう思いをしながらその先生きていくのか。
家族それぞれが持つ“自分のせいだ”という罪の意識、恐ろしい程の懊悩とそこから逃れられない苦しみ。
たとえば、事故で足を失い顔に疵を持ち、とても好きだった恋の相手からも捨て去られる悲しみ。
事故のせいだと考えてしまいたがる自分の情けなさ、自分への怒りと自分への絶望。
たとえば、父親が失踪して残された家族はどういう思いでその先の人生を作って行くのか。作ったつもりでも崩れる不安定感。
たとえば、アル中に陥った人の苦悩、その家族全員のそれぞれの苦悩、そこから這い出そうともがく苦しさ。

　　　・
これら数々のお話の中の僅か一つでも、自分の問題として行き当たった人なら、
この作り物のお話には全く魅力を感じないでしょう。
傍から他人事として見ている人だけにしか楽しめないお話です。

最後の落ちは、単なるカタルシスを作る為に「犬」を使っただけの、陳腐な結末です。
泣くどころか、バカバカしく腹立たしくなりました。
犬は人間の飾りでも持ち物でもないのですから、この扱いは犬に対しても失礼です。
人生は、こんな、「泣かせようとして作ったお話」のような簡単なものではありませんよ、と
作者に言いたいです。
季節の考証も、作者はもとより編集者にももう少し勉強して欲しいところです。

セカチュウ、今あいの次はこれ！と言う宣伝がされていたとは知らず、新聞の書評を読んで読んでみたくなり、実際に手に取ることなくネットで買いました。
正直言って、なんだ、こういう本か~という印象でした。実際に手に取って2~3ページもめくっていたら、買わなかったと思います。
あまり面白いとは思えませんでしたし、特に前半は退屈すぎて読むのに忍耐が要りました。確かにセカチュウ、今あいと同等の系列に属する本だと思います（自分は前2冊を読んでいませんが）。
内容があまりにも薄っぺらで、透け透けのくらげのように実体がありません。著者は何を言わんとしてこれを書いたのか、よく判りません。家族愛？いえいえ、これは家族愛というような骨もなければ深みもありません。兄の内面も少しも描けていません。あるのは「家族愛みたいな感覚・気分」だけです。家族の再生のようなものを本気で描くにはあまりにセンチメンタルで、感情過多で、その中で酔っているだけのような、少女漫画の世界でした。
最近はこの手の本が多すぎて、とても残念です。

内容とは関係ないのかもしれませんが(?)、例えば「~という○○」という文が「~とゆう○○」だったりするのにはかなり居心地悪さを感じましたし、2月の公園にバッタが飛んでいたり「りんどうや野菊やスターチスやシロツメクサ」が咲いていたりする著者の不勉強も、どんなものかと思いました。
