5.0 out of 5 stars 第１作とは一味違うデモナータの新作は期待を裏切らない, 2006/3/5
　ダレン・シャンは前作で新しい世界への扉を開いて、読者を再び驚かせてくれました。ローリングがハリーポッターシリーズの第一作でホグワーツの世界を構築させたことを彷彿とさせますが、第２作での展開ではシャンは大きく舵を切って、デモナータの世界をさらに大きく広げました。
　第１作のグラブスの活躍を期待されていた人には、第３作まで待っていただかないといけないのですが（そう、グラブスは登場しません）、作品のプロットとしてはより洗練されていて、ページをめくる手がとまりませんでした。前作との接点はダービッシュとロードロスが担ってくれていますので、大河作品を期待されている方もご安心を。

やはりダレンシャン、ロードロスに続き
ダレン氏の作品は最高ですね。
あのハラハラドキドキ感！ミステリー感！
そしてなりより最後の最後に
真相が明らかになるあの瞬間！
読み始めたら一気に読みたくなります！
実際にもう読み終えてしまいました＾＾
ダレン氏のデモナータ第三章も期待しています！

わたしはダレン・シャン氏の本が大好きです！
いつも１日か２日くらいで読んでしまいます('▽｀)♪
その気持ちは「ダレン・シャン」から「デモナータ」の作品になってもまったく変わりませんでした。
それはシャン氏の描く物語の中に、いつもスリルとサスペンスが入り混じっているからです。
読んでいるといつもドキドキ感が消えません☆

この作品デモナータではグロテスクな部分がとても強く表現されていて,少し怖いと思う部分があるかもしれませんΣ(＞△＜)
しかし、ホラー映画や、ホラー本を全然見れないわたしにも、余裕で読むことができました（笑）

第２幕と書いてあるように、この本はデモナータシリーズの第２巻にあたります。しかし、この第２幕に登場する主人公は１巻の主人公とは違います。シャン氏によると、このシリーズには主人公(語り手)が３人登場するそうなのです。
しかも、２幕では１幕よりも前の時代の話が描かれているので２幕から読んでも全然大丈夫だと思います(^-^)

“悪魔の盗人”というタイトルに、わたしは背中がゾクゾクしました。
この言葉は始めから謎として主人公に付きまとい、そして最後に意外な展開で解き明かされます。
シャン氏は、こうかな、と読者の思わせ、最後の最後でいつも予想を裏切ります。その裏切り方はまさに期待以上、見事としか言いようがありません!!
読みながら謎を解き明かす楽しさがあり、主人公と一緒にとてもハラハラできると思います。
