我が家では、図鑑NEOシリーズは発売都度、全鑑購入してます。最新シリーズNEOになってから、待ちに待った1冊です。内容はカラー写真満載で太陽・月・太陽系・銀河などなど、非常に分かり易く説明がされてます。宇宙とかには興味がなかった小学生の娘も非常に興味を持って見ています。宇宙に興味のある子供たちへの入門書にはお奨めに1冊です。

隣の部屋で寝そべって真剣にこの「宇宙」の本をみているのです。
息子は６歳でひらがなはかろうじて読めるのですが
まだまだ文字がたくさん書いてあると抵抗があり
他の本などはふりがながふってあっても「読んで〜」と持ってくるのですが
この「宇宙」はよっぽど興味があるらしくよく一人で読んでいます。
読んでいるのかみているのか分かりませんが･･･（笑）。
ただ教えてもいない宇宙についての知識を時々披露してくれる所をみると
この図鑑の力なんだろうと思います。
去年の夏ぐらいに興味を持ち始めどうしても宇宙の図鑑が欲しいとせがまれて
購入したのですが正解だったと思います。
興味を持ち始めた時の子供の吸収力は想像を越えるものがあると感心しています。

太陽・地球・月から始まって、太陽系、恒星、銀河と、豊富な写真と図版を使って順序よく紹介。宇宙論の章など、冒頭から対数スケールで表した宇宙の様子を描いたイラストから始まっていて、「このスケールの意味が子どもに理解できるのか？」などと思わず心配したりしつつも楽しく読めました。ビッグバン~宇宙の晴れ上がりの過程を、科学雑誌でよく見る無機質な解説図だけでなく、一見何だかよくわからない前衛的イラストを駆使して見せてるあたりは、今までの天文学入門書と一線を画していて感動すらおぼえます。真ん中辺りにある両開きで宇宙の広がりを見せる「Powers of Tenもどきのページ」は、ぜひとも動画で見てみたいと思いました。★全体的に良くまとまっています。子ども向けというより、一般向けの天文学入門書としても非常に優れていると思います。　とにかくオススメ！★
