これほどまで爽やかな少年漫画はこの漫画が登場するまでなかった。ラブコメにも関わらず悩まない男の子と泣かない女の子。そして下ネタ抜きのクールでシュールな笑い。登場する女の子はカワイイけど一癖アリ、男の子は男前度ゼロの情けない奴ら…脇キャラの性格設定まで完璧。一話完結で読む者を飽きさせず、四季折々のテーマで楽しませる。不良ではないけど真面目じゃない高校生。やけにスキーだ温泉だ海だ山だと遊んでます。みんなオシャレだし。正に80年代トレンディー漫画…と思いきややってるコトは小学生なみの主人公。重く熱い70年代の少年達は消え去った。楽しければいーじゃん♪の主人公達に癒される。「Dr.スランプ」と並ぶ明るさと軽さが80年代の平和さを感じさせ心が元気になる娯楽漫画だ。

　ほとんどドタバタコメディだけど、それをまったく飽きさせずに34巻も続けるというこの業は、もはや天才の技術だと思う。安心して読めるし、この人の作品は普遍的な面白さを持っていると思う。
　今見ても全然古びていない、超名作マンガ。

小学3年生の頃、この漫画を10巻まとめて大人買い（父がしてくれたの。）しました。
（父の入院に付き添ったごほうびに♪）
ちゅどーん！　とか、　ぶぎゅる　とか、擬音語、擬声語がとにかく面白いです。
女性が原作者であるにも関わらず、この少年漫画的なノリは
珍しくって楽しくって。
それはもうページが裂けて剥がれるくらい読みまくりました。
