20世紀末に高度文明が滅びてから300年。
人々は、王族の圧政に苦しみ続けていた。
そこに誕生した双子の兄妹。

兄は暴君の圧政から人民を救う「運命の子」と予言される。しかし・・・。
村を滅ぼされ、たった１人から始まった旅。
仲間を求め、情報を求め、王を倒すため・・・。

あんまりあらすじを書くと、ネタバレして面白くなくなるので、これぐらいで。

主人公だけでなく、脇役達も魅力的な人ばっかりですよ！
日本全国の主要都市が舞台となり、
だんだんに各地方の仲間が増えてくるのがとても楽しいです。
あなたの地元はどこですか？あなたは誰が気に入るでしょう？

ハラハラしたり感動したり、笑いあり涙あり、
嫌なことも忘れてのめりこめることを保証します！

　僕は男性で、おまけに学校で国語の教師をしていると言う、・・・そんな人間ですが、・・・。これは、いっぱしの文学作品にも匹敵する名作です。僕がこの作品を知ったのは、何年も前に、当時の教え子でとてもものを見る目が有ると感じていた生徒に、「最近、何か面白い読み物があるかい？」と尋ねたところ、「マンガでもいいですか？」と言うので「マンガかい？」と内心は思いながら、でも、話を聞いてみたのです。
　すると、あまりに熱心に「これは間違いなく名作です。」と語るので、こいつがここまで言うのなら信じてみようと、その日の帰りに当時出ていた全２６巻を一気買いして帰ったのです。
　で、当たりでした。あいつの目は間違ってなかった。それを信じた私も間違ってなかった。僕はこれ以上の優れた大河ロマンのマンガを知りません。初めはモロに少女マンガの絵面を見て、「うわぁ〜、これは外したか」とも思いましたが、侮る無かれ少女漫画。
　まあ、生徒を信じた私を信じて、読んでみて下さい。うちの家内は、3年に一度くらい、「久しぶりにBASARA読み直そう。」と言って全巻を読み直しています。とにかく、・・・泣けちゃうんですから・・・。これは読んでおかなくちゃあ。

なんとなく購入した漫画ですが、最終巻まで一気に買ってしまいました。
序章、中盤、終章、全てよく構成されています。
舞台は一応日本ですが、現代の日本でも過去の日本でもありません。
独自の世界が作り上げられています。
ですが、違和感はなく、江戸時代とヨーロッパの封建制度が混ざり合っているような感覚です。

作者は歴史に精通しているのでしょうか。
中国、日本、ヨーロッパのそれぞれの歴史をうまく合わせて
作り上げた世界観が伝わってくる気がします。

少女漫画にかかせない恋愛描写はこの漫画では
とても複雑に描かれています。

キャラクターの設定も文句なし！

男性でも楽しめる漫画だと思います。
是非読んでみてください。
