お話そのもののレビューではなく、この「文庫本」のレビューにさせてください。どうしても一言!小説であっても漫画であっても、素晴らしい作品が世に出て、単行本からやがて文庫本になった時、読者が楽しみにする事のひとつが「解説」だと思うのです。よほどの事が無い限り皆さん読まれるでしょう?この文庫本は4巻あるうちの先頭、1巻(つまり起承転結の起)であるにも関わらず解説者が何を勘違いしたのか「転と結」=最後の種明かし、ネタばらしをしてしまっているではありませんか!これは作品はもとより、読書そのものに対する冒涜です。その他の解説文も何が言いたいのか分からない思い出語りに終始し、およそ作品と釣り合いません。わざとやってるんでしょうか?この解説文にゴーサインを出した編集者も最低、最悪です。今からでも遅くないので、解説を取り除いてほしい。「洗礼」という名作を読む上で、この文庫本第1巻は失敗作です。初めて読む方にはなおさらオススメできません。もし何が学ぶ事があるとしたら、たった1、2行の駄文が一冊の本を台無しにする典型が見られるという部分ですかね。呆れました。念のため最後に強調しますが、これらは全て解説を含めた商品に対するレビューです。

　著者お得意の、美醜がテーマである。文庫版で読むひとは、１巻の巻末解説を、全巻読み終えるまで見てはダメよ！！ネタを割っているからね。とにかくラストがすごいんだから、先に知っては勿体無い。ヒントは、死人があまり出ないところにあり。

　週刊少女コミックでうっかり読んじゃった当時の女の子は、さぞやトラウマになったことでしょうね。ストーリーはあんまりバラせない作品ですが…。主人公さくら。美少女ですが、いろいろヤバすぎます…。さくらのママ、いずみは元大女優。顔に醜い痣ができ引退、ひっそりさくらを産み、ひとりで育てました。…この母にして娘ありなのか？かなりアッパー系なお方です。楳図マンガには「ママが怖い」話がいっぱいありますが、文句なくNo１です。「漂流教室」の主人公のママを１００人分濃縮しても足らぬド迫力！…。しかし、さくらの学校の先生と奥さん、お気の毒です…。(特に奥さんが…)一度めは恐怖を。二度めは、さくらやママ他多数の人達に「そりゃちゃうやろ！」とつっこみ入れつつお笑いを。一粒で二度美味しい、お得なマンガです。
