著者の作品には”バナナフィッシュ”もあるし、”YASYA”もある。でも、あえてこれを読んでもらいたい。なんでもない高校生（のはずの）俊邦と深雪が野生大麻を拾ったり、学園祭でばかやったりする姿は、自分の高校時代に

重なるはずだ。＜河って人生みたいなものだ。＞と俊邦が発言するシーンを見たいが為に、私は何回でも読み返している。実は著者の１番の得意な世界に違いない。

今更ながら改めて良い漫画です。
今（2008年現在）ほど、日本の漫画文化が評価されていない時代に描かれた、確実に今の「日本漫画」の礎となった吉田秋生と云う作家（漫画家と云うより作家の方がしっくりきますね）の名著だと思います。
今読むと流石に時代を感じますが、それでもやっぱり男女の性、家族、友情…が、しっかりと描かれていて本当に日本漫画の水準の高さを再確認出来る作品です。

すごくいい作品。
これで吉田さんを知ってもっと読もうと思いました。
米軍キャンプの近くで育った高校生や、外人たちの雰囲気はお洒落だし、
その一方で様々な問題やいさかいも抱えていることが描かれます。
でもゆるやかに、彼らは成長するのです。
少女マンガのジャンルだけど、男の子に読んでほしい作品。
こういう骨太なマンガを描ける少女マンガ家は希少です。
