本書の内容や菊池・横見両氏のズレたやり取りの楽しさについては
他のカスタマーレビューで散々語り尽くされているので、
私に語れることは何か？と考えた結果
「女性メンバーの魅力」という結論に0.5秒で到達した。
「デートコースだからミニスカートで」と言われて
素直にミニで来てしまうレールクイーン候補のきなこちゃん
（22歳でこんなに素直でいいのか！？大丈夫かきなこちゃん！？）、
楽しそうにしてる割には「退屈なのは全部ですよ」の
名セリフを残して去った眞鍋かをり、この特別ゲストが素晴らしい。
そして何と言っても、漫画を描いた（描かされた？）キクチさんがいいのだ。

「旅」に釣られるキクチさん。コタツでみかんのキクチさん。
「こんなのわかるかー！」とブチ切れるキクチさん。
駅弁一つで笑顔を取り戻すキクチさん。きなこちゃんや眞鍋かをりを
本気で心配するキクチさん。ちょっとツンデレなキクチさん。
「別れたいと思ってる人におすすめします」のキクチさん。
クエント編のキリコ・キュービィみたい目で
大回りの最後を取り仕切るキクチさん。
…か、かわいいなぁこの人。

もちろん漫画も面白いし、
シンプルだけどポイントを上手くおさえた絵柄もいい。
眞鍋かをり曰く「骨のない人のコサックダンスみたい」な
転倒を演じたカミムラ氏もなかなか味わい深かった…男だけど。

主人の趣味が鉄道で、しかも私にしつこくすすめてくるので
辟易としておりましたが、この漫画だけは楽しく読めます。
全て女性の目を通して書かれているためキクチさんに同感する部分が多く、
もしその場に自分がいたら同じリアクションを取ったと思います。
鉄道マニアのご主人や恋人を持って悩んでいる方にはおすすめです。

日本の鉄道に全部乗った、鉄道マニアの僕から見ても、あまりの濃さにちょっと引いてしまう漫画。
鉄道に全く興味のない女性漫画家が、「旅行できた上に漫画も描ける」とそそのかされて、トラベルライターの横見氏との旅をスタートさせるが･･･。ローカル線で全駅下車させられたり、鈍行で鹿児島まで行ったり、普通の感覚ではついていけない旅だった。実は、担当も編集長もテツなのだった。
絵は線が細かく列車駅等もリアルに書かれていて、資料としての価値もある。
