4人の中年独身男が暮らすイタリアのとあるアパート。
空いている「5番目の部屋」は留学生の下宿部屋。
アパートの住人達が織り成す出会いと別れ、友情と恋愛。優しくて暖かい物語です。

まず絵がシンプルで可愛い。
「リスパラ」や「さらい屋」とは違ったアッサリした画風なので、好みが分かれるかもしれませんが…。
登場人物の中年男達が個性的で可愛いです。
彼らの何気ない優しさ・可笑しさは、作中の留学生達だけでなく読んでるこちらまで癒してくれます。
(チェレのヅラには笑いました♪)
オノナツメさんは中年や紳士を描かすととても上手。
イタリアが舞台の作品が多いですね。イタリアの大らかでお洒落な人と街の雰囲気がよく出ていると思います。

どこに行っても皆がまた帰ってこれる場所、集まれる場所―。そんな暖かい場所や友達がいるって素晴らしい。羨ましいですね。
読後はほんのり幸せな気持ちになります。

復刊されるのを心待ちにしていました！
たとえ出版社がなくなってしまっても、良い作品は蘇るものですね。

『リス・パラ』や『五葉』とは少し絵柄が違いますが、
オノさんのサイトのファンとしてはこちらのほうが馴染み深いかと。

巻末に付け加えられた番外編を含めて、どの話も素敵。
じんわりと温かいのです。繰り返し読みたくなってしまう。
４つの部屋に住むそれぞれの人々、
５番目の部屋に次から次へと入居して去っていく人々、
みんな優しくっていとおしい。

本当に復刊してくれて良かった・・・！

この本には人生が詰まってる。

舞台はイタリアにある一軒の共同アパート。

そこに住む個性豊かな中年男４人と
５番目の部屋に下宿する留学生との心温まる物語。

派手なエピソードなんかは全くないけれど
素朴で人間味のあるひとつひとつの話に
どんどん引き込まれていく。

個人的にはアルのキャラクターに惹かれる。

本当は弱いのに周りにはそれを気付かせない
そんな男らしさや優しさがある。

もちろん他の登場人物もとても魅力的で
そのエピソードには人生のほろ苦さや甘酸っぱさが
散りばめられている。

冬に暖かい部屋で読むには最高の一冊。
