医龍は、久々のヒットだと思う。
同じ大学病院という問題を扱っている「ブラックジャックによろしく」も確かに面白いと思うが、「医龍」の方が作者のメッセージがズシン、と伝わってくる。
確かに『これだ！』という結論や回答は出しにくい問題もあるだろう。また、言い切ってしまう事に危険性が全くないとは云えない。

だが、主人公・朝田の技術と医者としての信念・行動力と、その対極にある研修医・伊集院の苦悩と朝田の行動に影響されていくさまは、大学病院という医療現場の問題を考えさせると同時に、読む者にある種の爽快感を与えてくれる。
現在、三巻まで出ているが、悩むより、迷うより、「患者の声を聞け」という藤吉の言葉が特に印象的である。

　世間では、「ブラックジャックによろしく」がドラマ化され、注目を浴びているが、
本当に、医師たるものの成長・理想を具現化しているのは、本書の方である。
犯人を捕まえられず、悔しがる刑事ドラマがないごとく、
理想に忠実な朝田先生の方が実感がある。

大学医療の腐敗を描くにしても、ネガティブにとらえて、変えられないとあきらめるより、

変えていけばよいとする信念がすっきりしている。
　自分に向上心すらあれば、決して現状に不満を漏らすより、研修医の伊集院先生の
ように良いところを吸収していくことは可能である。
　私も研修医時代に循環器内科医として、例年ならば一年目には、心臓カテーテルの

検査実施医師とならない慣例だが、上司の許可をとるためアルバイト先までついて行き、
その病院で手順の学習を積み、１年目から検査担当することができた。
ただ、ストーリーの後にある「今日の一言」っぽい短文は、
必ずしも現実には当てはまりにくくなっていることは、修正したい。

テレビドラマにもなったブラックジャックによろしくより遙かに良質な医療マンガ
　この作品では外科系マンガには無視されがちな内科医の役割に十分な
スポットが当たっていることに注目したい。監修が元内科医の永井　明
というのも有ると思われるが・・・

医療をドラマにする場合どうしても外科が題材に成りやすい。その理由として

１．生死に直結するため患者と医師のドラマ性が強い
２．手技・テクニックといった目でわかりやすい要素がある
３．結果が手術結果という形でわかりやすい形で出る
といった点が上げられると思う。

しかし、実際の医療では重大な手術であるほど外科医だけで行うことは
まれであり、かならず内科医に相談・術後管理の打診がある。

朝岡を中心とする外科医のチームのなかでの循環器内科医の藤吉の立場
の書き方には非常に好感が持てる。朝岡は藤吉の内科的診断を頼りにし、
藤吉は朝岡の外科医としての腕を信用する、これこそ本当にリアリティの
あるチーム医療を描いていると考えられる。

Team Medical Dragon-チーム医療の理想をえがいた良作である
