ビジネスについて深く考え、成功のヒントを掴むには、打ってつけの本。
主人公はボクシング元世界チャンピオンのケン。飲食業をやっているが、なかなか黒字にならない。そんな時、通信教育の事業で巨万の富を築いた塚原と出会う。塚原は、設備投資がかからない、売上が季節に左右されない、商品のロスが少ない、これが商売の三原則と語る。これを満たさない飲食業で成功するには、拡大路線か、地域密着の２つに１つしかない、と言う。
塚原は、ケンを試し、嘘つきだから商売人に向いている、と褒める。ただし嘘を真実に転化させるのが本当の嘘つきだ、と付け加える。ケンは、塚原に投資を頼み、塚原は飲食業の経営改善を条件に投資を約束する。
ケンは、まず料理長と店長に相談するが、２人はケンの話を聞こうとしない。そこで、ケンは思い切って、料理長と店長を若い奴に任せる。そして、とにかく客を集めるために価格サービスを実施し、赤字でも、とりあえず店に客が溢れるようになる。これにより、店の空気ががらっと変わった。
そんな時、塚原がやって来る。約束は２か月後では..と言うケンに対し、塚原は、この程度の規模なら１日で劇的に変化させる手腕がないと話にならない、と言い、店の様子を見て投資の約束をする。ただし条件は、ホームレスを１０人雇うこと。
ケンは、雇ったホームレスのうちの１人が経営していた１億の負債を抱える縫製工場を買い取り、会社をスタートする。
ケンがたくさんのホームレスの中から従業員を選ぶ方法が面白かった。リスクを恐れずまず行動しろ！ってね。

元ボクシングチャンピオンの主人公が引退後、飲食店を経営しビジネス界でもトップに立とうとする話。
ビジネス成功のコツとは？
儲かる商売とは？
経営者に求められるスキルとは？
などなど自分で店を開きたい人は目を通して損しない作品（になると思う。まだ１巻なのでわかりませんが）。
カフェやバーが好きな私としては
自分が好きだなって思う店、二度と足を運ばないお店。
その違いの原因が見事にここに書かれているので
「そうそう！！」と思いながら読み進めています。
ビジネス成功の上で大切な言葉がたくさん出てきますが
人生においてもよいヒントになるコトバが多いと思います。

ビジネスの基本

　１設備投資は安く
　２売上が季節に左右されない
　３商品ロスが少ない

僕がもう１つ加えるとすると

　４業種はロケーション（地域や国などミクロ、マクロな視点で）を考えた上で

４は飲食店なら一番気をつけなければいけません。
でもいい場所は家賃が高い。すぐ競合が近くにできる。
儲からないでしょう、日本では。
僕が日本でビジネスをするなら飲食店はしません。

これからビジネスする人したい人は読みやすいこともあり、
このコミックを読んでからでも遅くはない。

おすすめ度が４つ星なのは、
ホームレス１０人を雇ってスタートする非現実的なところが、
やはりマンガだなと思ってしまったところです。
ホームレスをどうやって仕事にやる気を持たせたか、
そこが知りたかったのに。その場面がなかったところをみると、
このことは意味があったの？と思いたくなる。
いずれにしても読む値打ちは十分認められる良質のコミックだと思う。
