▼第1話/誕生の日▼第2話/石ころ▼第3話/夕焼け▼第4話/なまえ▼第5話/オニ▼第6話/共同作業所▼第7話/小さな“家”▼第8話/ひとつぶの“どんぐり”●登場人物/田崎圭子(知的障害と聴覚障害を併せ持つ女の子)、安田先生(ろう学校の教師。圭子の担任になる)●あらすじ/田崎夫婦に圭子という女の子が誕生した。しかし発育が悪く、言葉らしい言葉を喋らない圭子に不安を抱いた母親は、2歳3か月になった圭子を医者に連れていくことにする。そこで圭子には知的障害と聴覚障害があると診断され……(第1話)。▼4歳になった圭子は、両親と共にろう学校の幼稚部に通い始める。同じクラスに清という少年がいたのだが、ある日ぱったりと登校しなくなってしまった。そして一週間後、再び幼稚部に現れた清と母親は……(第2話)。▼自分でスプーンを使って食事ができるようになった圭子。一方、清の家では、清を施設にいれようという話が持ち上がる。しかし夕焼けを見ようとしている清を見た母親は、もっと清と話をしてみたいという気持ちになる。その夜、家族で話し合い、清を施設には入れないと宣言する(第3話)。

　マンガの持つインパクトはすごい、と思わずにはいられない一冊。実際に障害者の家族と関係者が立ち上げた、共同作業所の設立までの道のりを丁寧に描いている。障害を持って生まれた子供の日常、親の気持ち、社会の偏見がへんに力まず描かれ、「人間とは？」「幸せとは？」と考えずにはいられなくなる。障害者との共生こそ人間らしさ回復の一歩だと思うのだが、障害者年とか、24時間テレビとか、政治やマスコミは身勝手である。不況下でさらにきびしくなっている障害者達に地道な理解と応援を送ることは、（冷たい）日本人が再生するために必要なことではないだろうか？

障害者のリアルで暗く重いテーマを初めて漫画で扱った本だと思う。普段見ることもなく、知ることもない障害を持つ人達の気持ちと家族の思いをリアルに描いた一冊目。

障害者を馬鹿にしてる人はこの漫画を是非読んで欲しい
障害持った子供が必死に生きていこうとしてる様、
そして関わっている人たちの苦しみがリアルに描かれているんだよ
マジ笑える
