ビッグコミック　オリジナルの増刊号に連載していた作品。
犬ロボットと小学生の男の子の日常を描いた作品なのだが、人間とは？　生きるとは？　命とは？　やさしさとは？　など非常に深いテーマを上手く扱っている。
たかがマンガという人もいるだろうが、この内容の深さは少々の書籍では太刀打ちできない。

物語の設定・背景、何気ないセリフが素晴らしく、犬ロボットも人間以上に人間らしい。
特に犬ロボットが、一度に５文字しか意思表示できない制限を設けたアイディアには脱帽。

殺伐とした昨今の社会に疲れた人に是非とも読んでもらいたい一冊。

そもそも小学生が主人公なんだから、
これまでの作品に見られた「青春の葛藤」とやらを求めることが間違っている。

むしろ、小学生なりの心情を上手く描くことに成功していると思う。
私は作者の他の作品も全て読んでいるが、この漫画も普通に読めた。面白かった。

かつての作者の面影を引きずっていないレビューを参考にした方がよい。

犬ロボと父子家庭、
「三人」の生活を描く一冊完結の名作。

母親がいない息子特有の弱さや強さ、
父親の思いやり、母の存在感、
そして犬ロボ・ラッキーの愛らしさと健気さ、
その全てがリアル。
実在しないはずの犬ロボさえリアルなのである。

犬ロボとの別れは、普通のペットとの別れとは少し違った。
いつかまた動き出すかもしれない。その期待が絶えないのだ。

ありきたりで申し訳ないが、
「こんな犬ロボが実際にいたら、どんなに素晴らしいだろうか。。」
と、つい思ってしまう一冊。

「ありがとう」の五文字を、
ラッキーと、愛する全ての人へ。
