ビッグコミック　オリジナルの増刊号に連載していた作品。
犬ロボットと小学生の男の子の日常を描いた作品なのだが、人間とは？　生きるとは？　命とは？　やさしさとは？　など非常に深いテーマを上手く扱っている。
たかがマンガという人もいるだろうが、この内容の深さは少々の書籍では太刀打ちできない。

物語の設定・背景、何気ないセリフが素晴らしく、犬ロボットも人間以上に人間らしい。
特に犬ロボットが、一度に５文字しか意思表示できない制限を設けたアイディアには脱帽。

殺伐とした昨今の社会に疲れた人に是非とも読んでもらいたい一冊。

犬ロボと父子家庭、
「三人」の生活を描く一冊完結の名作。

母親がいない息子特有の弱さや強さ、
父親の思いやり、母の存在感、
そして犬ロボ・ラッキーの愛らしさと健気さ、
その全てがリアル。
実在しないはずの犬ロボさえリアルなのである。

犬ロボとの別れは、普通のペットとの別れとは少し違った。
いつかまた動き出すかもしれない。その期待が絶えないのだ。

ありきたりで申し訳ないが、
「こんな犬ロボが実際にいたら、どんなに素晴らしいだろうか。。」
と、つい思ってしまう一冊。

「ありがとう」の五文字を、
ラッキーと、愛する全ての人へ。

幼くしてお母さんを亡くした祐太が押入れで見つけたのは
古い犬ロボット・ラッキー。
この犬ロボットには主人を模倣する機能があり
ラッキーは、かつて一緒に暮らしていたお母さんの記憶を宿していた。

病弱でなかなか子供を授かることができなかったお母さんが、
奇跡的に授かった赤ちゃん、それが祐太だった。
お父さんもラッキーも、みんなが祐太の誕生を待ち望んだ。

でも犬ロボと赤ちゃんは相性が良くなかった。
赤ちゃんに怪我をさせてしまうかもしれない。
だからラッキーは長い眠りについた。
祐太の誕生を祝う「おめでとう」の言葉とともに。


こうして出合った犬ロボ、ラッキーが新たな家族になり
お父さんとユウタと一緒に暮らしていく。


「ラッキーは」「ずっといる」
ずっと祐太と一緒にいることを誓うラッキー。
ずっとラッキーと一緒にいられることを願う祐太。
だけど、その願いは叶わない。

ラッキーは初代モデル。
充電によって消耗されるバッテリー。
その替えは
この世にもうなかった。


どんなに充電しても、満タンまで充電できなくなってきた。
ラッキーも自分に残された時間が少ないことを悟っていた。
「ユウタを」「よろしくね」





ラッキーがいちいちかわいすぎる。そして健気。
ダメだ、これは泣くしかないじゃないか。
完全にツボを押さえられてしまった。
読み終わって２〜３時間、まだ引きずっています。

漫画だなんて馬鹿にしないで、是非読んでもらいたい。
もし泣けなくても、何か思うことはあると思う。
もし泣けたなら、改めて表紙を見直してほしい。

ラッキーの小さなシルエットに
ラッキーが発した言葉の数々に
きっともう一度心打たれると思うから。
