松本大洋さんの作品は好きでコミックスは全部持ってます。彼の作品の凄い所は全ての作品が全く違う世界観をもっている、という所だと思います。今回の作品も漫画というより芸術のような世界に圧倒されました。
さて、今回の漫画の主人公は化け物のように強いが変わり者で甘党の侍の話。(どこかで見たような…?)松本大洋初の時代劇物です。まだストーリーは動き出したばかりではありますが、物凄く引き付けられる作品ですね。
ぱっと見、読みにくい漫画だと思う人もいるかも知れません。ですが、ひとコマひとコマ、じっくり絵巻物を見るつもりで読んでみて下さい。作者の芸の細やかさ、鬼気迫る筆使いに魅了されることでしょう。
オススメです。ぜひ読んでみて下さい。

5.0 out of 5 stars 竹光と侍の相入れないネーミングがいい, 2007/4/25
松本大洋は「鉄コン」もすごいけど、これも別の意味ですごそうだ。もちろん、ラストがどうなるかだけど…。人間の二律背反性と現実社会との関係がとてもうまく描けている。現実に生きている我々だってほとんど同じで、自己は他者（他人や社会）のなかで翻弄されながら、ときに「白」で、あるときは「黒」で対応しながら巷間をそれなりに渡っている。これは「鉄コン」と同じパターンだが、今回は主人公が1人なので、「白」と「黒」の使い分けはうまくしないと多重人格になってしまう。どう展開するか、ぜひ注目したい。

宗一郎が生まれてはじめて蛸を見て、ポーズをとりながら
「全ての箇所がいっときに伸縮し、とどまることがない」
「貌(かお)もまた珍妙だに。鼻や口はどうなっとるんだら？」
と感想をいちいち述べるくだりに、主人公としての魅力が詰まっています。
相手する蛸売りも、
「きょうび、蛸ぐれえでそんな…」
とあきれます。

宗一郎が、全てを分かっているのか、何も分かっていないのか、
人間なのか、実は妖怪なのか、全く分からず、そもそも、このマンガが
何を描こうとしているのかすら分かりませんが、とにかく面白い事は間違いありません。

奥様である、冬野さほさんの影響が大きかったのか、今作での松本大洋の
画風は大きく変わっています。今までのファンからすると複雑な心境かもしれませんが、
私個人の感想をいえば、今までの絵にあった、「いやみ」のようなものがスッと抜けて、
実に素晴らしい絵になりつつあると思います。

この後、何十冊出ても買い続けようと思いますので、現代の「浮浪雲」「三丁目の夕日」
「こちら葛飾区亀有公園前派出所」「ゴルゴ１３」目指して、超長期連載をお願いします。
