中身はもちろんそのまんまです。紙の感じも。けれどサイズがでかいんです。A4?そして１冊にまとめられているので保存に便利。旧版の表紙ほどの質感や味わいはないのが残念ですがこれから買おうと思っている方にはオススメです。あ、でもワタシは持ってますけど買いました

義理と人情。そしてヤクザが支配する街「宝町」。そこを“棲みか”にする二人の少年シロとクロ。

日本であって日本でない雰囲気をもつ街を“棲みか”にする、人間だけど人間でない能力（やっぱり空を飛ぶのは人間には無理だよな…）を持つ二人の少年を描いたこの作品を、旧版が発売された当時は、シロとクロ、ネズミと沢田等の人間の対比（裏表の対比と言ったらいいのだろうか）の物語として読んでいた。

しかし、「映画化された」ということを気にしながら、旧版とこの新装版を合わせて読んでみると、そればかりではなく、「宝町」そのものも、地面からの視点で描かれたごちゃごちゃとした雑踏と、ビルの上や塔から見下ろす街の俯瞰図の対比で描かれていることに今更ながら気付いた。マンガ自体が映画的なつくりだったのだ。

新装版の発売に際して大型化された理由がそこにあるかどうかは判らないが、画面から伝わってくる迫力の違いは明らかである。

「宝町」も含めて描かれているもの全てが主人公。リアルであってリアルでない。非現実的はあるが現実的。スピード感が溢れている一方で時間がゆっくりと流れているようでもある。暴力渦巻くおとぎ話の作品だ。絵柄も含めて好き嫌いがわかれるマンガ家だと思うが、なにを描いても、松本大洋のマンガとしかいえない世界観。やはり貴重だと思う。

旧版とこの新装版を読み比べてみると、サイズアッップには必然性があると感じた。表紙は確かに旧版の方が味あるものの、初めて手に取る人は勿論、旧版を持っている人もこの新装版を購入する価値はあると思う。

アニメが面白かったし、泣けたので、原作も買っちゃいました。
アニメがすごく原作に忠実な事がわかりました。
泣けます。心がキューとします。
で３冊分が１冊に、しかも絵も字も大きいから読み易いです。
お買い得な１冊です。
