例によってスリリングな展開に拍車がかかり面白くなってきました。アトム、ウラン、御茶ノ水博士、田鷲警部、昔からおなじみの面々が浦沢直樹の手によって生き生きと甦っております。手塚治虫のヒューマニズム溢れるストーリーと東欧っぽい深い闇のミステリーとイラク紛争等の時事的な話題がどのように重なり展開されるか興味津々というところです。原作が完結しているので今回はいい展開になりそうだと思います。浦沢さんクロージングがやや苦手のようですから。

原作ではロボットだったアーブラ博士、この作品ではどうなるのか？　またプルートゥとウランの関わりはどうなるのか・・・　

ジャングル大帝や火の鳥などのオマージュを見せつつも微妙にとも大いにとも言えるほど原作とは違う雰囲気です。（KKKのロボット版が出てくるあたり）
うまく原作をいかしつつも全く違う道へ進んでいく、つまりいい意味で原作を裏切った話になると思うのでこれからも興味が尽きません。

原作では孤児院の子供を助けようとして破壊されたエプシロンを、
非戦主義者として登場させたのは予想通りという感じです。
ただ、原作の戦いから逃げるイメージではなく、周囲から非難を浴びようとも
義のない戦いはしないという意志の強さは、浦沢流を感じます。

そして原作でもプルートゥとボラーを造ったアブラー（ゴジ）博士。
原作では黒幕はイスラム世界のスルタンの1人だったのですが、
本作では大量破壊兵器を（表向き）持たないトラキアではないかと、
勝手な想像をしています。
反ロボット組織も登場、目が離せなくなっています。

ちなみに、ウランについてはかなり生意気な印象で（笑
結構戸惑うかもしれません。
原作でもアトムの代わりにプルートゥと戦おうとするなど、
かなり御転婆な面は強調されていますけれど。
