次世代を担う新進気鋭の漫画家、浅野いにお。詩的な世界観と誰もが抱く不安を、美麗な画力で切り取る。この『素晴らしい世界』は、一つの街を舞台にした『ひかりのまち』同様に連作短編集のような構成で、緻密なリンクを魅せ進む。雰囲気でおもしろいと思わせる漫画って多そうで意外に少ない。その抽象的な雰囲気を細かに読み取って、文章に起こすのは凄く難しいけれど、この浅野いにおが描く世界観に、ほんの少しでも共感出来る部分を感じることが出来ればハマること間違いなし。今までこんな漫画は存在しなかった。見落としていただけ？いや、こうやって出会える力を持った作品だから高い評価を得ているのだ。だって、いいもの。とても、いいもの。個人的には『ひかりのまち』の人間の暗がりの部分を描いた話が好みではあるけど、この『素晴らしい世界』も好き。

　ある日突然、彗星のようにあらわれた（ように僕には思えた）宝石のような青春漫画、浅野いにおの「素晴らしい世界」が二巻にて完結しました。

基本的なトーンは1巻と変わらず、読みきり短編の形式の青春ものなんですが、今回完結するにあたって、全体の話をまとめるような展開になっています。詳しくは実際に読んでほしいのですが、その閉じ方は非常に綺麗で、今僕たちが生きているこの世界は、矛盾に、苦痛に、焦燥に、満ちているけれど、それでも僕たちしだいで「素晴らしい世界」になっていくんだという前向きな気持ちにさせてくれます。こう言うととてもクサイ話みたいですが、演出の処理が巧みなので押し付けがましい感じはなく、傑作の名にふさわしい名作です。次回作にも期待大です！

僕がこの漫画を手にとったのは、「学校」という空間の中の絶望の底に在ったときです。
正直、この漫画を読んで僕は救われた。大げさかもしれないけど、
これを読んでから「死のう」としていた日々は無くなった。
いじめはキリがないが、自分の中の「それなりの幸せ」を見つけた。
「今、僕の真上にあるこの空が見れることだって幸せじゃないか。」

生きていくことは辛い。
でも、それだけじゃない。

そう、教えてもらった作品です。
