4.0 out of 5 stars 在りそうで無い、無さそうで在る？, 2003/12/15
同じガンアクションものと言うと、伊藤明弘を思い出すが、
彼が往年の日活アクションを彷彿とさせる、所謂、
”在りえない”空間でエンターテイメントを追求してるのに対し、
本作の舞台、そしてシチュエーションは、なんとなく
”在りそう”と感じさせる部分が魅力である。
(ドンパチが始まっちゃうと荒唐無稽なのは確か)

日本人ではなかなか感じることの出来ない貧富の差、
これを根底に上手く漫画を描いている。
読後に痛快さがなく後味の悪さが残る回があるが、
これが逆に本作品の魅力だと私は感じた。

(連載中の３巻相当のエピソードは思想を語りすぎる
お喋りなキャラが出て、いささか興ざめですが)

ここには書けないようなスラングっぽい言葉が沢山でてきますんで、嫌悪感を抱く人も少なくないと思います。
一巻に比べるとそっち方面がかなりパワーアップしてる気がしますね。
表紙の折り返しに英訳が少し載ってるんですが、日本語より英語で読んでみたいですね。

血風呂にブラッドバスのルビを振っている所からも、著者が英語を意識して描いているように思えます。
一回読めば結構おなかいっぱいになる作品ですが、不思議とまた読み返したくなる魅力があります。
どちらかというと青年向けの作品かな。決して万人向けとは思いません。自分のプロフィールの方を見てもらって、嗜好が似てると思った方にはお勧めですが（汗

　この漫画の銃撃戦、迫力満点で且つ派手である。
　これほどの動き、そうそう描けるものではないかと。
　加えて、登場人物の言動の過激なこと、過激なこと。
「貧乏白人（ホワイトラッシュ）が手前の低能さを棚上げして、
　愉快に生きようとしたら、あっという間にマーチ好きのバカが一匹出来上がる。
　どこに行っても変わらねえ法則だ」
　とか。
「月が昇るころ、連中の船を襲撃する。
　戦いの太鼓（タムタム）を響かせて、ナヴァホのように襲撃するのさ。
　ワーグナーなんぞ屁でもねえ」
　ステキ。
