砂時計というものは、過去・現在・未来を表しているとよく言います。
この物語もそんな時代の流れを生きる、杏の心を本当に上手く表現している作品だと思います。

しかし、１話目で分かってしまう、杏と大悟の未来。

その未来を知りながら読む、まだ青々しい２人の様子は、本当に胸が締め付けられます。
こんなにも、切なく純粋な２人が迎える結末…幸せになって欲しいという願いは、届かないのかも知れません。
だけど、その運命をどう受け止めるのか…続きを読みたいという想いが、一層強くなってきます。

俺は男なんで、あまり少女漫画は面白くなくて、これを最後にと思って、ドラマにもなっている砂時計を買ったのですが、これが面白い!楽しい!!まだ、7巻までしか買ってないのですが、すぐにでも次の巻が読みたいぐらいです。是非、男の皆さんも読んでください。ちなみに、小学・中学・高校・短大・社会人と1人の男に未練を残して、恋愛を繰り広げていく恋愛漫画で、漫画もドラマとはちょっと違うので両方とも楽しめると思います。絵も俺はけっこう好きです。

「砂時計」に乗せて紡がれる、感動と共感を呼ぶ長編読みきりシリーズ。
「過去･現在･未来」を繋ぐ、「せつない」系の純愛物語です。
タイトルどおり、「砂時計」が物語のモチーフ･象徴になっており、
主人公達の恋と成長を感動的に描いています。
1巻には「12歳冬･祈り」「14歳夏･神鳴」の2編が収録されています。

両親の離婚を機に、母親の実家である島根に母･美和子と共に越してきた杏･12歳。
慣れない田舎暮らしに戸惑いながらも、大悟･藤･椎香たちと心を通わせるうちに
徐々に自分の居場所を見つけていく。
その中で、杏と大悟は次第に惹かれあっていき…？！
しかし、この物語の冒頭は杏･26歳の過去回想型から始まっているので、
杏と大悟の未来は最初から分かってしまいます。
それでも、純粋でひたむきな2人の恋から目が離せません。

心に押し寄せる感動、せつなさ、やさしさ、あたたかさ…
言葉では語り尽くせないような、大切な想いがいっぱい詰まっています。
最近感動していない、心が渇いている、心から泣きたい！という方は、
ぜひ、この『砂時計』を読んでみてください。「心に効く」素敵な物語です。
もっとたくさんの方に知ってもらいたい、珠玉の名作です。
