東西両端から攻め込まれたヒッタイト帝国。
二手に分かれ、鎮圧に向かうカイルとユーリ。
そして、この戦いの途中、首都ハットゥサではその隙に、
ナキア皇太后がユーリが日本に還るのに必要な泉を壊し始めた。
それを知り首都に急ぐユーリだが、途中、カイルからもらった額飾りが切れる。
そのとき、ユーリが取った行動は、

日本に二度と還れなくなるかもしれない首都へではなく、
ユーリのため首都へ泉を壊すのを止めに自分の部隊の半分を、
首都に派遣した皇帝カイルの元へ馬を進める！
カイルの身に何か起こったとユーリは感じ、ここ古代カイルの元で土に還るることを決意！
カイルはユーリが還らないことで、本当の后にすると宣言。

ユーリももちろん、それは分かっていると了承！

そして、はじめて、結ばれる・・・

全巻とおして、この巻が一番スキです。
この巻がユーリの一番の決意の場所だと思うし、
一番言いたかったことが出ている巻だと思います。
ユーリからの始めての書簡で命を救われたカイル。
カイルの、ユーリを求めることに我慢しない！

という叫びは、とってもうらやましかったです！

まだまだ、これから至難が続くけれど、
この赤い土に還ろうというユーリの決意は最後まで続きます。

この作品自体、私のこれまで読んできた少女漫画の中で１、２を争うくらい大っ好きな作品ですが、その中でもこの14巻は絶対必見！です。
どうせ読むなら、１巻~１３巻まで読み終わった後で読んでください。
（特に、１２巻、１３巻のカイルの葛藤を読んだ後にこの１４巻を読むと、もう涙無しでは読めません（＞_＜）

最近の少女漫画は、出会って直ぐHが多く、読者がヒロインの感情についていけないことが多いのですが、この作品は違います。
ヒロインのユーリとその相手のカイルがお互いを好きになって、それが愛に変わって、やっとこの１４巻に来て結ばれるまで、その過程が非常に丁寧に書いてあるので、ものすっごく感情移入ができます。
この作品を読んで、「あぁ人を本当に好きになるっていいなぁ」とカイルとユーリの恋愛に憧れました。もう何度読んでも、この巻だけは必ず泣けるので、購入から数年経っていますが、全く売る気はありません！
この巻だけではなく、作品全体に言えることですが、読み終わった後は、自分自身も違う世界にタイムスリップしたような感覚を覚えるほど物語に没頭することができますので、現実世界から離れて、読書？に没頭したい人にはお勧めです！

この14巻でユーリが人生最大の決断を迫られます。
「日本へ帰るか」それとも「このまま残るか」。
私は娘を持つ身なので、つい親の立場で考えてしまうのですが、もし自分の娘がこの決断をした時に「なぜ帰ってこなかったの？」と責められるか？と。
15歳にもなれば自分の考えで物事を切り開きたいと思うはず。
このユーリの決断に涙なくして読むことは出来ませんでした。
そしてその決断に、カイルは「どういうことだか分かっているのか？」と大人な発言をします。
ホレボレしました。
ユーリとカイルと初めて結ばれた夜･･･久々に心トキメキました（笑）
歴史も学べるしお勧めの漫画です。
ただ、親の立場として「側室」や「ベッドシーン」なんてリアルなものが出てくるので、読むのは小学生高学年から･･･出来れば中学生入ってからでお願いしたいですね･･･。
