　「蝉時雨の〜」を読むまで忘れ果てていたが、改めて読み返すと笑える笑える。いや、朋章と里伽子がそれぞれ抱えているものは笑い事ではないのだが、このカップル以外はぜーんぶ、好きになってはいけない人を好きになっているのだ。舞台が鎌倉だからオシャレに仕上がっているが、これはコメディーだ。
　個人的にファンなのは、朋章の後輩、ピアノと駆けっこと落語が得意な鷺沢高尾クン。後輩のオオサカ（男だ）から告白されて正気を疑うが、実は自分も朋章に惚れているという矛盾を抱えた彼がとってもかわいい。
　これからこちらを読む方は絵柄が変わっていて戸惑うかもしれないが、「蝉時雨〜」のマサの兄ちゃんがオオサカ、風太の姉ちゃんが美樹さん、兄ちゃんがテルさんである。

　蛇足。里伽子の得意曲、美樹さんが彼女に惚れるキッカケになったベートーベンの「テンペスト」は、いい曲ですぜ。たたみかけてくるようで、気分によっては怖い時あるけど。

遊び人（笑）だった高校生の男女がふとしたきっかけで 付き合う事に。色々問題はあるものの段々お互いの必要性を確かめ合っていく… と、最後にはじ~ん、と心が暖かくなります。

いや、単純に（笑）では説明できなくて。さまざまな価値観、同性愛などを認める広い心が著者の最大の強さだと思う。それを結局ちゃかして、ユニークなものとして扱うのだが、そのそこには、真剣なまなざしが垣間見られる。海。青春。恋。それは、決して一般的なものではなくて、ひとそれぞれかけがえのないものを抱えているのだ。そのことに気づかせてくれた。
