大正時代の岩手県。
母親の肺病静養のために、東京から引っ越してきた、多喜子。
物書きをしていた父が中国で古くから伝わる「四神天地書」を翻訳し、持ち帰ったことから運命は動き出す。
北甲国に飛ばされ、玄武の巫女となった多喜子。
そこで北甲国の王子「女宿」と出会う。
お互いの気持ちを確認しあったが、太一君に玄武の巫女は玄武を召還したらその身を食われる…という話を聞いた女宿は、七星士たちと協力して、多喜子を元の世界に帰すことに。

七星士たちから酷い言葉を投げかけられ、深く傷つく多喜子。
もう本の世界には戻らないと決め、現実世界の岩手に帰ってきたところから話はスタートします。
現実世界はまだ多喜子の母親の通夜から時は進んでおらず、母親の葬儀に出席することが出来た。
多喜子を嫁に欲しいと世話になった医者及川が現れる。申し出を一回は受け入れる、多喜子。
しかしその後、母親と同じ肺病にかかっていたことが発覚する。
自分は本当に女宿を愛していたことを再認識し、北甲国に戻ります。
多喜子が岩手に戻ってから一月以上が経っていました。

面白かったです。話は遅々として進んでいるようには思えませんでしたが…
現代に戻っていたので、仕方がないですね。
作者が週刊連載に入るようなので、今度からのコミックスのペースが遅いかもしれません。
本作の連載誌も変わり、Flowersになるようです。

前作のふしぎ遊戯の頃に明かされていたラストですが、どうなるのか・・
そればかりが気になります笑。
ふしぎ遊戯の時は多喜子はきちんとキャラクターとしていなかったし感情移入もできないしでふーん、という感じで流していましたが、この巻で結核になる伏線とか、お父さんがちょっと危険とか、色々見逃せない展開になってきました。
前作に比べると地味な印象ですが、ソルエンが死んだときは泣きました・・。
それにしても、血を吐いたら一月くらいで死んでしまうのではなかったかなー結核・・しかも安静にしていて。
大丈夫かな！

ラストへ向けて、最初から貼っていた伏線がはっきりと動き出しました。しかし、作者が「旧作とはまったくの別物です」と言っているので もしかしたら違った結末もありうる…?
これからは単行本のペースもさらに遅くなるみたいなので ★マイナス1です。ま、気長に待つしかないですね(-.-;)
