主人公はオタクの妹でブラコンという設定ですが、
そのオタクが超美少年！
そして、その美少年と仲良くなるのが、オタクな美少女！
意外とあるようで、なかった設定がこの作品にはあったと思えます。

オタクの偏見に悩まされながらも葛藤する妹の仕草や物語の展開も良い。

やぶうち優先生は、少女漫画家でありながらも、
男性読者を中心として面白いと感じさせる漫画を描くのが、
また一段と上手くなったと思えました。

すごい次が楽しみです。

漫画としてはそれなりに楽しめました。

ただ…

水色時代からのやぶうちファンとしては
「少女少年シリーズ」の後半あたりから始まった
絵柄の変化に少しとまどいを感じていましたが
ここにきての変化はまた凄まじいです。
最近の流行モノっぽくなってますね、いわゆる萌え系？
時代についていってると言えばそうなんでしょうけど…

でもやっぱりちょっと寂しいですねぇ。
なんか切なくなってきました。
水色時代読み返してみようかな。

本作の主人公東雲真綾（通称：まあち）はお兄ちゃん（理一）が大好きな高校1年生です。
お兄ちゃんは優しくて、ルックスよし、運動神経抜群、頭脳明晰で非の打ち所がないんですが、
ひとつだけ人には言えない秘密があります。それはお兄ちゃんが「オタク」だってことです。
やぶうち先生が描かれる「オタク」は、妹思いで、清潔で、「オタク」であることに引け目を感じていない、
いわば「オタクの暗黒面」を持たない人物として描かれます。それでいて、
「こんな奴いないよ」と思わせない、やぶうち先生の誠実な描写に唸ります。
「まあち」は血の繋がっていないお兄ちゃんがチャットで寝落ちしている時にコッソリキスしちゃう程、
必要以上にお兄ちゃんが好きで、お兄ちゃんも満更でもない様子です。
どこまでもお兄ちゃんについて行きたい「まあち」はビッグサイトでコスプレをしたり、同人誌即売会に参加したりします。
「まあち」はこの先どうなってしまうのか、お兄ちゃんとの「恋」の行方はどうなるのか…。次巻が楽しみな1冊です。
