高橋留美子といえばうる星、らんま、犬夜叉などが有名ですが
私としては、短編でこそ高橋さんの本領が
発揮されているように感じます。
とくにこの本の表紙にもなっている「炎トリッパー」は
現代の女の子が戦国時代にタイムスリップするという話で
私の一番好きな作品です。
まだ読んだことのない人にはぜひ読んでもらいたいです。
文句なしの星５つ。

この短編集が書店に並んでいたのは高校生の時、『めぞん一刻』を読みかけている最中でした。
「短編集？面白いんだろうか」と未だ高橋留美子をよく知らずに買いました。

懐かしくて読み返しているのですが、驚いています。
短編の切れ味が鋭い！今、読んだほうがこの凄さがよく判る。
あの当時私は一体何を読んでいたのだろう、と反省しきりです。

ですから面白い作品に出会えてない学生さんにおすすめします。
こんなに何年もたってから驚ける作品はそうはないですよ。

高橋留美子さんの作品が好きなのでこの短編集を買ってみました。読んでみて特におもしろかった作品は表紙の絵にもなっている炎トリッパーです。その他にも、闇をかけるまなざし、笑う標的、われら顔面仲間などもおもしろかったです。そして短編集ということでどれも読みきりで読みやすかったです。
